The only 'customer' I have refused and thrown out the front door, was a sleezy white, straight person. Someone hit his car on the rear bumper and wanted to pay out of pocket for the damage. He wanted an estimate so he could collect from the person who hit him.
We told him we would fix it for $300.00. He wanted us to put $800.00 on the estimate so he could pocket the extra $500.00.
We threw him out and told him we don't operate that way and don't come back we dont want your business.
Last week we did a $6,000.00 hit for a gay person. We have plenty of Gay customers. Sexual prefrence is not a concern for us.
You need to stop pre-judging people.

That wasn't the question. The question was do you support laws like this?

by Mountain Lion on 27 March 2015 - 23:03
I don't know if this is going to answer your question or not, but I do believe that businesses should be allowed what jobs they decide to take in. I say this based on many different reasons.
I also don't believe the Government should be allowed to make people violate their religion.
I can't envision a business turning away someone just because they are gay.
I could see a bakery refusing to decorate a cake in a sexually explicit way, howerver.
I guess I would judge each situation on it's own merits.
I guess (personally) I don't see a cut & dry answer to your question because there are so many variables that could come into play.
Also, I have never encounted a business that inquires about sexual preferance from a possible customer, that would be absurd IMO.
Also IMO if a religion is against homosexuality, it's against homosexual acts. I don't believe it's against selling them something, or performing a business deal with them.

The same kind of person who shoots and kills kids in school, same kind of person who shoots people in a movie theatre...people who are on Prozac, Ritalin, Zoloft, Paxil, Celexa......you know, antidepressants, the drugs that cause people on them to go insane and commit mass murder and suicide.

"I also don't believe the Government should be allowed to make people violate their religion."
Please explain how one is violating their religion by serving a gay person. I didn't realize you had to give a guy a blow job in order to repair his car, that's a new one on me! It's discrimination, pure and simple and religion is the tool. People really need to stop focusing on the sex and look at the people behind the faces and the families behind the people.
I once asked Gouda a very personal question and he took major offense. I asked him if he thought about what his friends do in bed with their wives. Holy moley, he almost blew a gasket, that was just unimaginable to him! Yet, every time he discussed gay people, he focused on what they do in bed, not how they act in the community. Now please explain the difference to me, why shouldn't people be offended by others focusing on their sex lives, when it's nobody's business but theirs?

I am not getting this. How does it violate some ones religion? So, every person who has an affair should be discriminated against? What about people who lie? Should they be discriminated against? Every person who ever walks off from work with a pen should be discriminated against. Why do you feel businesses have the right to be judge and jury over me or anyone for that matter? How do you know if I come in with my brother that we aren't gay but just bothers? You mean to tell me a person who doesn't know me can make a split second decision of whether I am gay or not? What about men who are feminine? Are we going to have the gay police check them out? Who makes the decision? What about 2 gays who are in a relationship without sex? If your door is open to the public, then you should serve whoever walks in the door. I find it funny that most big businesses are against these laws but the little guy who is struggling in this economy you claim is so bad is going to not do business with gay people, this is bad businesses in of itself. I also find it funny you claim to not do this because you even see it as discrimination but you will back laws and those who make them aimed at discrimination. You sir are a fake. You don't even stand up for your convictions but behind your customers backs you support those who are pushing for this. SMH.
Religion should be all inclusive and not exclusive for those who want to judge others.
I find it funny we are even discussing this, it seems many many many businesses would bend over backwards to serve any customer who walks through the door.
I asked a Christian at work what they thought about this law and here is what they said - those people aren't real Christians - I found this very funny because a member here told me the same thing about the Christians who slaughtered Native(real Americans) Americans and enslaved the blacks.
If it was up to the religious right they would have laws segregating blacks from whites. No doubt in my mind, look at the deep south 40 years ago and even today. SMH.
No one is forcing them to watch 2 gay people having sex, what 2 consenting adults do in the privacy of their bed should be of no concern to you or anyone else.
You are in favor of these laws because you support republicans and republicans are the ones making these laws.
Whether you want to own it or not you and people like you are the real problem.

Boy did you go over the top, LMAO
You don't have a clue, you're speaking in circles...
You even dug poor Gouda up, why don't you let him back on to defend himself?
I never said, alluded to, or mentioned 99% of what you posted.
I think "you" just came out of the closet. LOL

And as per usual, you avoid answering the question, while throwing what you percieve to be an insult. How telling.

Travels here is your absurd post: My response is in RED!
"I also don't believe the Government should be allowed to make people violate their religion."
Please explain how one is violating their religion by serving a gay person.
Please show me the word "GAY" in the above highlighted sentence. It's not there.
I didn't realize you had to give a guy a blow job in order to repair his car, that's a new one on me!
Please show me where I used the words "Blow Job". It's simply not on any of my posts ever on this site. Unlike yourself some people that still post here show some class.
It's discrimination, pure and simple and religion is the tool. People really need to stop focusing on the sex and look at the people behind the faces and the families behind the people.

Gouda, I believe is no longer here to defend himself. Take up your difference's with Gouda himself. Gouda certainly has a right to follow anything his religion biblically mandates. Including depravity.
You're wasting my time, if you don't like or agree with the new law in Indiana take it up with the Governor and State Legislators, or better yet move there and vote.
