Today, Rep. Ron Paul has taken a firm position of the Debt limit which is not favored by either party. He appeared very presidential in this interview where he laid the situation out in simple understandable terms and why he has decided to take his position.

there are a great many things that i agree with ron paul on, but there are two things that are insurmountable to me:  his views on legalizing drugs and prostitution.  i just cannot go for that.

ziegenfarm, it's not that he wants to promote drugs and prostitution per say (he's not promoting drugs, prostitution or gay marrage for that matter). It's more he wants to legalize freedom of "choice" and get decisions outta the Federal Governments hands an put the control back into each state where Constitutionally they belong. (we can thank Roe vs Wade, because that when the federal government stole the power from the states .. being one example) Abortion, drugs, prostitution, gay marrage, breed of dog are all individual state issues, not the federal governments.

In other words (for example) stop the federal funding and control of the "war on drugs" it's killing innocent people, children, war veterans and pets. The States {now}, cannot stop the Federal Government. The war on drugs alone has killed more people than planes, trains and automobiles in the past 6 years. If you research, the majority were all based on anonymous callers, so called (no name) informants and tips of seeing paraphernalia. (rolling papers, guns or a roll of cash) We must get the power back to each individual State.

Since when are guns (any kind or amount), alot of cash or a book of rolling papers illegal in America and subject to a violent death via search warrant ?

I dunno, freedom to some people lately is a hard idea to grasp, but once you research how much money is spend and the damage to life is causes with all these "war on's" .. it's really a no brainer. What's next the war on C02 ? ... surely the war on C02 isn't gonna be good for any living, breathing animal or human. Not only that, but the issuance of federal warrants it also illegal. The State's lost control and power over these issues, so we must return that power, like our US Constitution and State Constitutions dictate.

Here's an old video, but you'll get the point. (lol)

Rep. Ron Paul takes on the most important issues in his presidential pre-campaign.  He is looking more and more presidential and is a breath of fresh air.

In principle I agree with doing away with all the agencies you listed.
In practice, I have no idea how the country would survive it.
