True, we do make that differentiation! My DH's fatherline is French-Canadian, whilst my Mother's French connection is from Baton-Rouge, so we say simply French, meaning from France. LOL

 French-Canadian.

Exactly right.  Call me anything you want, just don't call me late for supper.

Can't promise you dinner, but breakfast.... If Nike hired him back, that means the.general public has forgotten. I'm sure Nike has a department that can do research before they invest. Nike isn't in the bizz to lose $. I don't like him. Didn't like him before the incident. Brother is a shit stain too.

Kim, I'm obviously behind in responding on this thread, but  in your response to me, how can you disagree that his endorsement from Nike & his contract in the NFL isn't all about the money?

The sponsers & his team only care about the money Vick can make them. They could give a rats ass about his dog fighting past. They don't care about
the people that aren't going to watch him play or buy Nike stuff because he tortured dogs.

Shady, I don't think you really pay attention to what the NFL does to their players. I think they have done a good job. Heard of Pacman Jones? Roethlisberger? Plaxico Burgess? I don't believe the commissioner let vick play while he was going through the.legal process.

Shady Lady - When I said this has nothing to do with money I was referring to the Criminal and inhumane actions of Vick, my thoughts on this thread are about his previous behavior and how quickly he seems to be forgiven by Sports fans.

Unfortunately, in my eyes athletes are not looked at as normal everyday people. Until recent years if the person was a mega star they pretty much had a free ride in life. As a former LEO I'm torn on/about Vick. I , for the majority don't believe in rehabilatation. John or Suzy Q. Public just like the rest of us know the difference between right and wrong. They came to the same crossroad each and everyone of us has at one time or another for whatever reason in life have. They made the wrong choice. If Vick wasn't as athletic as he is he wouldn't be where he is, plain and simple. Who really knows if he changed and if he is remorseful? Not to change the thread but the world cried for Obama and look where we are! And on another note........ Pete Rose, what he did is/was worse than Vick? The "INS" and "OUTS" are everywhere, in any job with whoever across the board. IMO, his playing has nothing to do with a "changed"man. Just what his abilities can bring that team, the world of sports and for those that helped him what kind of recognition or pat on the back they will get!

Alboe, I hear ya. It's kinda like LEOs never getting speeding tickets and very rarely DUIs.

Some places Chaz but I've seen some good cops/people being stupid and paying the price. Happened to be a "Serpico" of modern times at my first department. Didn't work out so well for Serpico.
