Dr. Mindhunt :-) - 'Trump seems to tap into a core of anger and that anger is usually directed at non-white minorities.'

Absolutely true. In fact, Cumberland county, nc is looking into charging trumpetista with inciting a riot, plus charging his rentacops with arresting the wrong guy, or for not arresting the perpetrator. Nc doesnt like trumpeter's racist activities.

As per deal maker...he is uninformed and is winging it on all issues. He needs to go home and watch his manican.

Carlin, I find it funny that you speak of talking points of Trump's racism (which, of course, you can't possibly see!) in the "biased"media and then come up with a line like "...post Barry era black vote...", that makes it crystal clear that you only listen to or read non-partisan news /s, very telling, indeed!

I could point out reasons also where I have seen Hillary treat racism and bigotry like it's a perfectly acceptable POV, along with many other reasons I'd prefer that she weren't the golden child of the DNC, but she's not the topic here.

Banning ALL Muslim's from entering the US and suggesting the ones already her wear ID tags, and that is one of his applauded talking points, is, in itself outright racism, no yellow journalists required, but I guess that would be okay by you? Trump is a narcissist first and foremost and he's absolutely clueless on foreign policy, Constitutional law, economics and any other thing you'd care to throw into the mix. He never finishes a sentence, he speaks on an elementary school level, he never states how he'll accomplish any of his "goals" other than saying "I've got people.". He has no idea who the players are in the ME, no idea about the differences between the religions of that area and, even more disturbing, the differences between the sects within said religions and what parts they play in bringing terror or peace to that region, let alone the fact that the overwhelming majority of Muslim's are peace loving, law abiding citizens here in the US.

He has passed over more than 1500 American workers to bring in polish workers on visa to staff his resort in Florida, he's has products made in China AND Mexico, so exploits cheap (read slave) labor with no care for poverty, civil rights or the environment and I could go on, but I've got more pressing matters that need to be addressed. The video I posted may have been from a leftist journalist, but she surely didn't put the words in his mouth, he spoke them with no prompting and no assistance and if you want to say they were taken out of context, I'd like to ask you in what context they would be acceptable.

That's just reality but yes, I do like the name Barry for him. Hope that doesn't make me racist but then, I don't place a whole lot of stock in those -ism's that we toss about so casually these days. :)

You really believe that will happen, that he'd even try? SMH. Just SMH.

As far as the rest goes, I'm not about to wave the banner for Mr. Trump, which for me would amount to nothing more than explaining why he's the worst best option we have. I'm far more interested and willing to weigh in on our process, why it is what it is, and what the repercussions are moving forward. If it does comes down to Trump vs. Clinton I may have more to say, but right now the whole thing is just far too disappointing to dive into the details.

Carlin you can't talk your way out of what Trump said re inciting violence.

Your tactic is obfuscation, you pretend to know more about trump than trump.

Carlin

VK - Sorry that my honest answer was a bit . . . inconvenient for you. It is however, somewhat troubling that you view violence the way you do. My advice to you there would be to brush up on the defeasibility of determinism. For a quick fix, you might try any one of a number of reputable sources covering the truth about these particular events. Otherwise, I would question what sort of rational individual would conclude about the viability of a candidate based solely upon what they would say versus what an informed and educated assessment would suggest regarding what they might actually do. Or do we simply politic in some sort of myopic vacuum?

You must be bored, still.

OK let's disregard the same direct repeated message across venues and time, just a slip of the tongue in a heated moment. Let's instead go to reputable sources to interpret what such plain language statements really mean.

I don't think Carlin would recognise a "plain language
statement" if it stood up from its aisle seat and whacked
him as he walked past.

Travels, thank you so much for being the sensible, sticking
to the point one, around here; the thred was becoming
unreadable.

Kim jung un SAYS he is going to launch missiles on the us...what will he ACTULLY do?

In other words, every one ignore everything all the candidates SAY... Instead get a chrystal ball and SEE what they will actually DO.
Now THAT'S really rich! Carlin should get on trump's payroll, you could sell a million trump- balls a day! Rotfl!

VK -

Did you get stuck on "burden" this time, or was it "proof", VK? Perhaps the "obfuscation" lay in the "of" connector?

by vk4gsd on 14 March 2016 - 21:03

Prove he didn't mean what he keeps saying in public venues live. You want me to prove he didn't say those things, do you want me to prove he actually means something else.

I think you got some proving to do, you know Trump's mind better than trump does.
