On one of Milans videos you could see the training table in the shot with the chain center pole and all. He is a dog trainer and the table works and he uses it, Learned it from Steve .

Anyway, people can believe what they want as far as Cesar's biography/resume.  I'm sure he learned a lot from his father and probably many, many people along the way.  That's the way it works.  Anyway who cares?  I think this thread is about respect or lack thereof for his training methods/technique/philosophy, whatever you call it, not his  pedigree.

LOL that's right, who cares who he trained with or didn't.  Doesn't matter - from different sources and from what he's learned from "doing" - he's developed his own methods that work for him, and work very well.  I recently added National Geo channel to my network and have been enjoying the show myself.  Some eye-brow raising, and head-shaking moments, but overall a good show and good training.  I especially enjoyed a recent one where he got into the doghouse with the spook-bag Akita who was hiding inside - looked out at the camera, smiled and said cheerfully "do not do this at home, especially with an Akita"

I thought there was an episode where Cesar was working with a dog, can't remember the breed...but he said this reminded him of his training days when he use to train with someone.  He was referring to real training though, protection training, etc. If I can find it on my DVR I'll type what he said exactly. It was a new episode though that was shown recently.

This thread made me think of the saying " the only thing 2 dog trainers can agree on is what the 3rd is doing wrong". Lol.

I am not a fan of Milan but I am not going to bash his training or methods. They do work for some dogs.

What's funny is that im sure if someone on this board had a show like his......they would have the samethings said about them.
