I think the story keeps changing due to rumors and gossip. I for one am waiting on all of the COMPLETE reports before I make up my mind on this whole ordeal. All of these reports take time and I'm sure that they want to get it right. And once again for the record, the vet that released the information to the police was NOT the vet that did the necropsy, I don't know why you guys keep saying that he was. And in the police report it also states that SOME OF THE... let me say that again, SOME of the injuries were premortem.
Also, I beleive that the real reason that the case was closed so soon was due to the lack of man power and the cost of the investigation being that they considered Hex "just a dog". Personal property, an animal.. Let's face it, not everyone considers dogs or cats or birds or any kind of pet a family member, even though they are to the majority of people that I know.
For all of you that want to flame me, rock on with your bad selves, why should today change from the others?
Victoria
ps. Merry Christmas & a Safe and wonderful New Year to all......

"For example, the person that is the Administrator on "Bring Hex Home" states, "The preliminary necropsy results pointed toward foul play..." Who is this person and what report do they have access to?? The police report, which includes the results from the University of IL, states nothing of the sort. These professionals surely wouldn't close a case they considered to point at 'foul play'. I just don't get it, there's a piece of this puzzle missing."
That would be Molly Graf who shares Moderator privs on the GrassRoots list. She says she can't change the name of the FaceBook page but I believe she could delete the false "Stolen and Murdered" statement.
She has abused her Mod Privs on GrassRoots after fanning the flames on the Facebook page.
She put me on Moderation after I made the same post concerning the the new HEX website.
Don't take my word for it go read the exchange on Grass Roots. If anyone wants to see the private emails she sent please email me at Dobermannman@netzero.com
It sure seems like as all the conspiracy theories unravel, the hysteria mongers are becoming more and more
desperate

The Govedniks and supporters mentioned the missing collar during interviews and/or on various sites. One of the Govednik interviews that refers to the fur-saver can be located at: http://www.wqad.com/news/wqad-dog-hex-stolen-german-shepherd-champion-09262011,0,7265427.story. The reference made regarding a leather collar was posted on this site last week by one of Al's friends.
Your comment: "...And once again for the record, the vet that released the information to the police was NOT the vet that did the necropsy, I don't know why you guys keep saying that he was..." Just to clarify, Victoria, the published report states, "...the necropsy began on 10/8/11 @ 4:03pm..." The University of IL referenced two doctors, Dr. Venema & Dr. Stern. It's apparent that Dr. Stern likely hasn't received enough credit for his work completed throughout the necropsy. The report refers to a variety of samples and swabs saved from the necropsy, one would gather this was done to further test and examine at a later date.
I agree that it's wise for everyone to wait for the complete report, hopefully that will be published soon.

Thanks so much for your input, much appreciated. The Bring Hex Home site I'm referring to is its own web address, not an incorporation with a networking site, please visit the site and see if you can locate its originator: http://bringhexhome.bbnow.org/index.php The contact person has not been published, rather they state: "Contact information for our organization will be coming soon." Pay Pal is listed as the secure payment option; they can provide for additional information, as needed.
The "Stolen and Murdered" statement can absolutely be removed as well as the Facebook name changed!! How do people imagine that hyphenated names (maiden-married) are tweaked?! It seems the willingness to make the corrections might be the issue here?

To address your question about when people will stop, it doesn't seem there's a definitive end in sight :( Eventually when the 'final report' is produced it should bring closure for many.
Kind regards
