I have had nice lapel pins made up for my Bouviers. The ladies love them and I will include those. I also have literature on the Bouvier, a 5 generation Pedigree and a copy of both the sire and dams health checks (OFA) Also a sheet of links that the new owner will find useful. Feeding instructions and when I advise to take them puppy off the puppy formula. If the ears are cropped I also put in instructions about cleaning and tapeing until they are standing properly and if left natural instruction on tapeing so they will eventually stay down. Basically all the things I was never given when we got our first Bouvier and had to learn by trial and error.

In regards to puppy toys, I have gotten a "well-loved" puppy toy that has been in with the litter.  The scent of it can be comforting for a pup leaving his littermates for the first time.

Just want to second what psycht said: as A buyer I would really like to have something, (wether it be a well loved toy/baby blanket etc) that has the scent of mom and litter mates on it. Just something comforting I could put in puppy's crate when traveling and when it's time to take naps.

I always liked the idea of getting a puppy kit. As a buyer it further cements that your chosen breeder really cares about the pups after they have been sent out into the world, that they truly want to give them the best chance of having an excellent life.

Like psycht and scarlet, I purchase receiving blankets and put in with mom and puppies, then store in a ziploc bag until puppies are ready to go. I also buy some inexpensive toys and send one. The puppies have something with mom's scent and litter mates. Of course, I also send puppy food and the usual papers.

Yes, a little blanket is nice....My first male died at just over a year old. I still have his blanket the breeder gave me to bring him home in...I brought Prince home in that same blanket....And now I wrap my cats in it.....I will keep it forever......: )

Here is King at 8wks old with his blanket in the backround......

OMG!  Touching story.
I got an embroidery machine and I digitized one of their Moms pictures and put it on 15 blankets.  This will be the first time I give them out and now I KNOW it was worth the money.  Thank you Ruger
I will try to get pictures today so I can get some feedback on them.

This was kind of expensive, but now i feel that it was worth it.

I know I made some sables for the crew at my schutzhund club. And I sold some at regionals.

Deanna....that is a touching story. I never thought anyone would keep the "transitional object" beyond puppyhood! I like the paw print material, too...........wlpool....awesome! I might buy a puppy, so I can get a blanket with the embroidered dog. Those are truly beautiful.
