I did read what you actually said:

Hans: IMO opinion it is a faulty approach because it establishes permanent default (setting) on equipment preference.

And I am saying if the dog is correct and the training is good then you do not have this "default" problem, it is important to teach a young dog proper grip work and confidence BY USING EQUIPMENT and a "sport approach"...as I have shown in the videos the dog will NOT default to equipment nor does she prefer equipment over the man.

To each their own I guess. I have trained successful police dogs the same way, I have handled three of my own who were titled in BOTH IPO and PSA (a civil PPD sport)...so I disagree with you.

If you have a problems with a "default setting" to equipment then there is either a problem with the dog or the talent of the trainer.

Oh didn't realise she was a wimmins....who let her out of the kitchen to train dogs??

Prager, don't embarrass yourself with word games, yr theory has been demonstrated to be a ruin.

The only logic you need to worry about is the result.

Ok Hans...If you have a dog who has had a foundation in sport but is a good dog has been trained well and now prefers the man instead of the equipment...

but you feel the approach of sport foundation is "illogical" and will lead to serious and dangerous problems....

Perhaps you can explain these dangerous and serious problems.

with a dog who will spit out equipment to take a civil bite.

GSD fan. You have nice dog and it is obvious you love it and dog loves you. But all I see on this video is the dog who goes from sleeve bite to another to another. This is pseudo protection in form of happy go lucky game. Look I hope that I am wrong but I doubt that this dog at this level would protect. It is a nice dog but this dog is not even civil. That is the problem with such training and trainers who take people's money and claim that they trained their dog protection. People think that their dog is protection trained but it is not all she does is in prey drive go from one sleeve to another and to another yet. Dog maybe civil. But nobody who knows dogs can tell that from this video. This video does not demonstrates civil agitation. It is game routine. Good routine but it is not civil at all I assure you. Why not?
1/The decoys are familiar to the dog.
2/ Dog is biting sleeves which is complete opposite of civil dog.
3/ Even the 3rd so called hidden sleeve is painfully obvious to me and thus to the dog which can not only see it but can also smell it.
4/ Dog is playing and there is no seriousness in it what so ever.
5/ dog is happy go lucky during all the routine.
6/ dog to me is obviously sleeve happy as a result of sportism training.

7/ obvious undesirable association  on many levels.
The danger you ask me about is to believe that this dog will reliably protect you when sh1t will hit the fan. . If you believe that the dog is going to protect you because what the dog does on this video I assure you that the video does not demonstrate any protectiveness of this dog what so ever. To belive that dog like this because what you see on the video may protect you may get you killed. THATis the danger I was talking about. The dog may protect you but not because of this training and what the demonstrated on this video. I truly wish I could tell you differently.
I am sorry.
