>> Well Paul, did you normally take your bite suit tracking? Because that's where the problem occurred.
plenty of (ipo) dogs get bites at the end of the track. any professional ipo trainer knows, or should know, that -- even if they don't use that method. and putting away a dog that's quite likely used to bites (hint: dog came from germany!!) without giving the bite and then bringing the dog back on the track with a prong ... you don't need very deep insights into canine behavior to figure out what's libel to happen. sorry, but my sympathies, and empathies, lie squarely with the owner/handler and the dog not the person taking money for services s/he quite seemingly is not qualified to render.

I do not believe for one minute the dog attacked on a verbal No.

bebo, Like you, this dog know's he's getting ready for something, he's back out, with a prong, he's thinking what's up.
We yell and holler at these dogs in training, use gun fire, cracking the whip, just in basic testing their courage and nerves and also during protection work, cracking the whip. This dog would not be a psp1, if he was a loose cannon, or fear bitter. You can bet on what the dog might be anticipating. All of our dogs anticipate the next round once brought back out.
Couple that with a dog that's new (Recently Imported for Germany), The trainer giving a correction to stop him, seems like the trainer was wanting to begin to "Slow him Down" as he was fast tracked more than likely, their lies the problem. Correct a dog with a prong that's not yours, he will either get charged up or be submissive. The story that the trainer got attacked for training this newly imported dog, simply with just his voice, with his verbal commands, haha. No, I don't think that's what happened.

He pays his own bills not you? and the prong was not the wrong tool, the wrong tool was the Guy you let handle your dog. It is you who is going to handle the dog in the future the Guy should have been there to help you and advise you but with you handling the dog.
It is for you to correct the dog not anyone else overall it is you who has made the mistake in the first place, As Jim says his dog Boomer i presume would have put the Guy in Hospital, My girl would have left the field carrying his Arm in her mouth? in future never be too slow to take advice but you handle your dog, then no problems can arise.
