If I were you :) I would teach all the targets. Upper arm, forearm, back shoulder, thigh, leg, calf, etc. But I think your dog capable of good biting behavior, I'd want to build off that, not screw it up. Being able to target multiple areas is a huge advantage, but that's coming from a take the target and bury it and take control with the best grip you can get. Switching grips just leaves room for escape

I'm not calling you a liar :) To me, the scenario is close enough that I think most dogs with an idea of what is happening will be able to air scent that area. I only asked if the decoy went in over the wall there, because it would lead me to believe your dog was doing more "tracking" and not scenting.

decoy went over the wall about 4m from where the dog did
once the dog seen him track was over. key thing is dog approached wall same side decoy did..
shit u not dog knows the game of hide and seek and likes it.
so do i, finding is a higher skill than biting in my book. that's why i chose to run currs not the catch dogs, about everyone else wants to only feed the catch dogs. my dogs can feed themselves.
