Sable is grey (maybe light or dark)... Its "not actually Black... that's why its GREY..." No such thing as Black sable... but there is Schwarz (Black)... Your Boss is Dark sable... the underlying coat is Tan (the richer the better)... Sables are the reverse of black & tan in pups... e.g. if black and tan pups loose there black pigment in the head and leg areas, sables which are light grey to dark tan in puppyhood gradually develops overlaying of black on the HAIR TIPS... The Sable color is considered DOMINANT than Black and Tan (as opposed to solid Black being RECESSIVE to both B&T and sable)... The number of Solid blacks in the genepool does not contribute to darker sables... If your dog is WELL PIGMENTED... hope that it is well pigmented both in the Tan and Black colors...meaning some Sables may have darker tans and less black sable hair... making them the so called RED SABLES... and some may have just cream or grey with little specs of Sable hair making them grizzled like GREYWOLVES...
Hope this link educate you and No Question is stupid except the ones that are not GSD related like "Giving birth on a airplane..." :) :) :)

there is no KKL3. SV does not require KKL for breeding. all other breeding requirements still need to be met, KKL is optional.
