Cowboy, Many European kennels do not give guarantees. Who is the sire and dam of this pup? However, as I said, submit x-rays now to OFA. Depending on what you get back in the report, then you may be able to negotiate something with the kennel in this instance. But, as I said, even if the pup really does have a problem, chances are that with appropriate care on your part, it will be fine. If you were buying a pup for show or sport, then perhaps it would have been a good idea to buy on a guarantee contract (although some breeders do not even honor their guarantees and blame everything on you), or to wait until the dog is older and has already been x-rayed and demonstrated healthy.
