Hello, can you please, give me any information on how to get in touch with Sonja Markowski. I would like to buy another puppy from her, however all my information in out of date. Thank you.

Chevy1,
When I bought my female, Tessa, from Sonja she told me she was changing jobs and would no longer have time for training. So I think she got out of dealing dogs completly.

We bought a dog from this site and we are extremely happy with him. We knew what we wanted and contacted the owners.....had a friend in Germany "see" the dog for us and we finished the deal then........no complaints.

I also bought a dog online, and since the breeder was in another state, had her pick my pup out for me. Disaster. I learned a valuable lesson. While the dog is wonderful with her family, intelligent, picks up on things lightning quick and is beautiful, she was not represented correctly. She was smaller than I was told, but worst of all, is extremely nervey when in new surroundings and people. Never again, I tell you! We paid a lot of money for her, and are now hopelessly attached to her, but apparently I didn't do enough research on the breeder and was too eager to buy her, afraid another buyer would get her first. I should have taken my time, asked for videos, etc. Another thing was emotions - when I saw her pictures, I did the worst possible thing, and fell for her beautiful face. She has the finest working bloodlines - 100% German working lines, 50% DDR and 50% West German, with SAR, International Police Dogs, Schutzhund, drug detection, urban disaster galore in her pedigree. I DID research pedigrees so don't feel I could possibly have made an error there. But something, somewhere, went awry with her nerves. She is a wonderful family pet but the fact remains that she is NOT what we were looking for. I cannot train her in Schutzhund or anything else that requires nerves, and, of course, is just about everything. So a very expensive pet she will remain. I agree with some of the other posters - DON'T be in a hurry. Take your time with such a significant purchase, and get lots and lots of opinions about the breeder, and if at all possible (and I know that it often isn't possible) go and see the litter for yourself! Visit several times before you make a choice, and tthoroughly temperament test any pups you might be interested in.
