sbb, thanks for the specifics. he is still a pup and large. if we get certified, i'll see about a less "landmine" type situation til he grows up a bit more. we're still in the inquiry stage, but you gave me some very good tips. i will print out all the tips. thanks again to you and others for the encouragement. i like the idea of working w/kids and their reading (i used to tutor kids when my son was in elementary school) and angus loves kids (he tried to leave w/a neighbor girl the other day - just thought he'd walk her home...) when my son was in middle school, the principal gave me special permission to bring him to pta meetings. he'd walk in, go around the table and greet everyone then go lie down and take a nap. if there were other meetings in the building, the principal would take him to meet everyone else. it got to the point that if they knew he was at the school, they'd come to see him - there were people i'd never seen who knew him! thanks again to all. it sounds like a wonderful way to make a difference.
