Siegerhof has been breeding, training and handling Schutzhund - Working Line German Shepherds Since 1978. We are no-nonsense breeders and trainers of Family Companion Dogs, Executive and Estate Protection Dogs, Competition or Hobby Schutzhund prospect puppies and Police Canine Partners. Over thirty years of specialized training of competition Schutzhund sport dogs that TRULY test the dogs temperament and character for use as every day companions and protectors.
The German Shepherd should be a utility dog whose "performance" is measured by his ability to work WITH and FOR his "family" or handler. Our method of training tests the dogs TRUE instincts (temperament) and not simply his ability to be trained for high points in Schutzhund competitions. Even though we use Schutzhund training and competitons as our proving ground for correct temperament in our dogs, it is not the sole criteria for breeding and training excellence.
We have successfully participated in Schutzhund training and competitions during FIVE DECADES (podium finishes of our dogs and-or training partners in SchH competitions in the 1970's, 1980's, 1990's, 2000's and 2010's). We've been in the Schutzhund German Shepherd "trenches" since 1978 - we know German Shepherds.
