Hodie: I guess these people do not get the Schutzhund magazine each month, or dont every ready Dog Fancy, or USA Dogs, or the AKC even, phamphlets that all say....do not give pups or dogs supplements.....feed a known kibble or meats, veggies, raw or cooked it u want nothing left inthem, and OFA even puts out info to you as well as 500 sites on this computor , all say ,,,there is not cure of HD....not found yet, pages to read....do not give Calcium , it is not needed...and instructions everywhere about unless dog is sick.......feed the dog and feed properly, keep slim, and german shepherds have a different PH and different everything , that house dogs dont....I think maybe we need to have a teaching course here.....Why dont people know about these things before they get a German Shepherd....I spent hours and dollars out the gazeboo printing sheets of info to give to people including sheets on what is Schutzhund....etc. I make many very mad but u have to care for a shepherd differently than other breeds......OFA doesnt say do these thing for no reason I have the read out that Rawston printed on my first dog the Larry Filo and Rick Ford sold me my first gsd and it is OFa INSTRUCTIONS as to why we have Hd and what to do to try to curb it , not cure it or prevent it....same instructions, no calcium and no suppliments as a pup..over supplimenting causes structural faults....That was 16years ago....there are zillions of sites on the internet to read how to do all this and they dont contadict.....but it is everyone choice to do as they see fit....if the shoe fits, wear it...some dogs get along fine no matter what they are fed or how they are handled ,,,,I dont have that luck and wouldnt chance it....
