My puppy won't stop eating his poop. So gross.......Please help! - Page 2

My dog has done this on occasion and still does if I don't keep an eye on her.  She's gotten 'treats' from the litterbox as well.  I have tried pineapple and can't say that it *didn't* work, but that was also in addition to a watchful eye and stern "leave it" anytime she even sniffs at it.  I've just resigned myself to watching her closely and picking up poop ASAP.  Her most successful attempts are first thing in the morning - inevitably one dog will poop late at night right before bed and (because I just don't feel like searching it out with a flashlight to pick up right away) the other one will look for it first thing in the morning and darn it if it's not still dark then, too.  If I haven't stayed outside with them in the morning, I can always tell if I missed watching her because she comes back in licking her chops.  No kisses that day, LOL!

A friend of mine at dog training class had a mixed breed that was a very determined crap eater. She figure out how to eat crap with a basket muzzle on. Pretty easy really, just mash the muzzle down on the pile and lick away! Course your always going to get busted because you can never lick all the crap off the outside of the wire. But mission accomplished! Gabby was a very disturbing dog in other ways too.
