I think one should get rid of all equipment and see if dog is focussed and willing to engage without screaming and yelling and whipping, some people where I test dogs from say im not fair because I test passive, but it is easy to pump a dog up and make it work, but then will it work when not motivated extremely

I'm not producing videos to sell pp dogs...like most people who make vid of dogs they claim are 'civil' 'bite for real' personal protection' when in reality, the dogs are just prey monsters at most, no different than dogs playing the 'sport' game.

and like hans says, nothing wrong with prey and we all use it to work and train dogs, just as long as the dog isnot prey only, unfortunately that is what we see a lot in todays breeding

would love names of the police departments that only train in prey.

Couple of vids of a young future breeding bitch, starting out in muzzle work. (Bertha Of Darkvakia)
One has been posted recently, the other not - both show non dancing / non screaming decoys.

Duke, do you actually believe that my dog would not have bitten the guy in the bed of the truck if he wasn't wearing a suit? And carrying the jacket is what the dog did on his own...I could not get in the bed of the truck with him to make him drop it wasn't important to me, my concern at that point was to get the dog with me so the dog could not reengage the man...safety, is big on my list when I have my dogs bite people. I already know the dog will bite. The test was would he still bite on unfamiliar surface and jump into a truck which he had never done before to engage the man. In order to focus on equipment, it would require a dog be familiar with equipment and have experience in training on equipment.
You're correct, the purpose of the vid does not change the dog, but it did prove the dog is committed to biting without prior training or practice, even on a slippery bedliner.
As for prey bite, who cares, if the dog switched into prey or not, the guy had a bad bruise inside his thigh from the bite and I already know the dog is civil, that wasn't the purpose of this test. It was; will the dog be committed in an untrained, unpracticed situation. And he bit hard enough to hurt the guy through the suit, so who care if it was a 'prey bite'...
