I would get a blood test on him as well as a check of his heart but I'm also very quick to run to the vet after losing my kitten to a heart murmur a few years ago. We thought she was sleepy all the time just because she was a kitten and unfortunately we were wrong.

I have a pure breed Australian Shepherd that has the same problem. Initially I thought it was related to excercise, but he would do it after walking or getting up, or just while standing there. I have recently gone to a vet who believes it is tied to a nervous system problem. My dog does not get fed raw food. I would recommend that you see a vet and ask him about it.

Yes, I would do a through vet exam. It could be heart, it could be that his back is thrown out of alignment. I know plenty of folks who take their dogs to the dog chiropractor, some even monthly if they are training hard.

I have a dog that exhibits similar symptoms. I found out she is hypoglygemic. Low blood sugar often occurs after exercize. If it's possible, bring your dog to the vet for a blood test immediately after you work him and his legs are shaking. Once the blood sugar levels are back up, the blood work won't indicate hypoglycemia.
