BE,
If your comment is to me, (not sure? I stated all "working" dogs are not just PSD K9s)) by all means, yes yours are true "working" dogs in my eyes also. I can't remember every working aspect dog that's out there but definately won't say yours are not in that group..........

I was just saying. Not just my dogs but most insured working farm dogs in general. A working farm dog is different than a livestock guardian too when they are assesed, in my case both my dogs are working farm dogs (for 3 years now) and are also by default concidered a "predator control dog" instead of livestock guardian (what they used to be) with my insurance provider because a couple years ago I bought the remaining 30 acres left of the old golf course - now my mountain lands connect to the farmlands. Not that it means anything here, just felt like mentioning it because it's interesting and I'm bored and missing home. lol

One of my buds has a Border Collie who does Goose Control, say on Golf Courses and such. Dog does the job and makes the money!

YAY!! I'm very happy that there is a WORKING DOG forum! Now we need the GSD PET forum, for new owners of GSD 'pets' that need help with their brand new little land sharks! LOL! I love this board, I thank Oli & his helpers for their brilliance, constant service, & good will. Thanks for another treat, all these new forums make me feel like it's Christmas-time! jackie harris

Hello fellow Working Dog peeps . My name is Rick from Florida and I have a 15 month old Purebred Female German Shepherd Working Dog. I am training her for vehicle searches and tracking. Even though this being done Informally, she is still doing GREAT at it. She is black/tan . I didn't know till thanksgiving just how protective she really is. I was over at my sisters house, I was walking her around my car with hidden treats. My nephew started to walk towards me , Brandi looked up and immediately put herself between us,then she started to bark at him. He backed off... :) Good girl . I wish I could find a male just like her.
She absolutely loves the bite pillow and ball/rope. I will try to post a pic of her here tomorrow. I feed her raw beef liver twice a month along with beef and turkey. About once every couple months
