Hi,

Here in NSW in Oz the Canine Council require proof of x-ray results in order to register

GSD's. I'm in favour of that but I have not heard of any breeder having a litter registration rejected because of a high score on the bitch.

Well, if you can figure out how to get breeders to health screen, then I have a very good chance of waking up tomorrow morning, looking like Angelina Jolie, and having Brad Pitts head next to mine on the pillow.... Dream on.. I can even get the majority of the breeders to enter their dogs onto  the German Shepherd Dog Breed Betterment Registry, which is a health Registry I created, to try to improve the health of the breed....

That's all we need, more government control.  Join PETA, I'm sure they will support complete control over all breeding practices.  Be responsible and do your research, buy from consiencous breeders and like everything else in this life, buyer beware.  Stop putting all the responsibility on everyone else.  Learn from your mistakes.  This is not meant to be critical, it is meant to stimulate ones own realization that the buck stops with me, and more gov. control will always lead to more problems in the long run.  Look at California and all the legislation that continually comes up.  I for one do not want the AKC, the government, or anyone else telling me what and what not to do with my dogs.  When they do, they will take away our rights as well.
