yeah I don't buy into it.

I get there are hard dogs, soft dogs and everything in between but all we have here are myths, hearsay and overt self promotion.

why are all the gangsta dogs ancient or dead - easy to create and protect a myth when the only evidence is bedtime stories.

videos please or it doesn't exist.

Here look, Gero sniffing the ground like its the first time he has been outside of those decrepit jinopo kennels. Pays no attention to the guys standing up on the handler, turns his back, sniffs ground and trying to walk off.

Dog has something wrong with rear end, walks on hocks and is unstable in rear, correct me please if I am wrong but rear end is not right.

Has a left arm sleeve bite with poor grip, no aggression.

Totally focused on downed sleeve.

Tell me that's not the video shows?

Tell me how we get from this clip to gangsta.

Unfortunately, many people with limited exposure have never seen " gangsta" dogs. I have seen many through the years to include the present. Also, the lack of video does not negate reality, now there are some dogs that appear to be gangsta by their outward expression but were created by nuture,( in other words they were raised ineptly or without boundaries are so appear to be gangsta but do not possess the dna to pass it to progeny. ) Dogs like Gero or Jalk v Lindenhalle were known for increasing hardness in progeny though they were most productive when bred correctly. Dogs created by nuture cannot pass it in sperm and that's why experience is so important in reading dogs thus determining what you are looking at. A dog that I have worked with intimately currently that would fall in this category would be Wasko vom Eifelgrund whom some on here may well know. I don't know if there is video on him, but I guarantee you he is real.

One last thing, some dogs by inept breeding,( usually under guise of more is better like close linebreeding on  Crok canproduce extreme dogs that may have not enough nerves to handle extreme aggression and for the novice appear to be gangsta) are labeled gangsta, but true gangsta dogs when in hands of excellent trainer/handler can be very productive. For some of you old timers, do you remember Grappo v Leiperheimermoor(sp), who was passed from person to person because he was too hard until T Floyd got him,( and I was training with T at this time so I know this to be true), and T took him to the USCA nationals and placed in very respectable place. He was a gangsta dog but in the right hands very productive.

So how does one tell a gangsta dog from just an aggressive dog in inept hands?

If the dog like Wasko became a competitive IPO which requires the most demanding obedience in all of dogdom was he ever really gangsta according to Prager definition;

"
- they will never accept a leader and will fight if someone tries to dominate them by even giving then simple command - if they do not like it even though they performed such command before. They will never ever submit often even to negative punishment ( withdrawal of the reward.) - they rather die. "

This is either another example of dog people logic or its just plain illogical.

The stories of Dask and Boban are the most ridiculous internet memes I have ever heard.

Are we talking dogs here or rabid 4 legged nuclear powered faster than light meth fuelled ninja killing machines.

As I can see, Gustav's definition and understanding of gansta dog does not match Prager's 100% . I see no conflict in what Gustav stated in his above posts.
