   sonora...

Thank you for the lengthy comment..You are right about the benefits of taping your training routine...When I watch the video I want to hide my face...lol...Sometimes I think about removing the video to save my dignity...lol...: )

Prince was 9 months old in that video, he is now 16 months old. We have come a long way...: ) I have been teaching the down from different positions. Also, when I give the down command I reward from that position...: )

How do you get a dog to be more animated???...

RLHAR...Yes, you are right. At the time I did not realize that I was making that position a punishment...: (

Like I mentioned above, I think I have made the down more positive by rewarding in that position...: )   Is that what you mean??.....: )

I think it takes a lot of guts to put yourself out there

You are not rewarding the dog while he is down, only after you tell him to sit. Reward him while he is down, and I think you will have less problems with the down.

I did not choose this font. : )

Nah, you figure you will have some people that you do not know that might be a buttcake, but you also might get some replies that help you out. Don't be a baby, just post your video. lol

Yes sir Jeff, as soon as I have one I will post. I'm going to start flyball or agility soon, depends which one we like better and I will post a video then. LMBO, I welcome most any advice, willing to give buttcakes a listen as well lol!!

If i wee you i would use a thin drag line about 2 feet long.  The dog will think he is not on leash as nuch, and it will not be in your way.
