Believe it or not-the average GSD still looks like these examples, at least in my country.

For clarity Susie, which 'examples' ?

by susie on 20 March 2017 - 18:03

Both, Joanro 😎
Yours on the working side, Giebel's on the show side.
Conformation wise they are not that far apart - just forget the color...

What I tried to say - most dogs still do have a "normal" conformation - it's not our fault people orient themselves at the extremes...

Here's a photo of my boy when he was about 11 months. He is from ASL. Never had any any medical issues until he rapidly declined 2 months prior to his death( he died at home and I believe it was cancer). He was two months shy of making it to 12 years of age. Not a day goes by that I dont think about him and what an amazing and loyal companion he was.

Sorry I'm not sure why the photo posted twice.

geez, haven't been here for a year or two. this thread from 5 days ago is on page 2. What has happened to this place.

If you don't want a roach back GSD, don't buy one. I went to Germany and found many, including the one I brought home that were perfectly fine in the back. Well enough to place in AKC.
