Actually Admin that's TWO outstanding videos - the one Mith had already promised, which he's waiting ... and waiting ...for his friend to help with, which I assume is to be from the training field;
and the more recently requested phone footage of his dog relating to his wife, on which I offered to run a book.
Don't think either of them is going to put in an appearance any time soon.

LOL @ blaming this dog's behavior on genetics. Its owner wanted a bad ass killer PP dog. Why? I don't know. The dog sees everyone as a threat because its owner wanted it to and that may be a reflection of how the owner views the world. He admitted he avoided obedience training because he didn't want to restrain, or whatever excuse he used, the dog. So by not correcting certain behaviors he encouraged them.

All he wanted was a pet that would protect him, not a PP dog, he just didn't know it. Now he has to adjust his lifestyle because of his dog. He can't go to a park to play with it and let it exercise unless it's deserted for example. He can't do what normal dog owners can do with their dogs because he got caught up in the PP dog myth and probably is one of those people who see their dogs as an extension of their ego. The irony is that by encouraging behaviors that he thought would build a PP dog he created a dog that can't function as such since, as has already been mentioned, a true PP dog has to be able to go out in public and be around people...safely.

on topic; How should trainer progress? I would never allow this guy to video myself training his dog. If I had any idea of posts he has made and the problems he admits about the behavior this dog exhibits, i would only allow him to teach control to his dog. I would feel very exposed if he published my name or image.

I will make a bet I could name his trainer. Tongue Smile

I think a lot of people would be surprised to find out how many of the "big whigs" or even just the major trainers in this country have an internet presence without actually making it known. I've seen quite a few newer people to sport and training have their internet opinions bite them in the ass when stuff they say or post gets back to someone important to them in real life.

Pretty comical when that happens (also a big part of why I'm an advocate for anonymity when it comes to internet discussions).

On topic: How should trainer progress, if the trainer hasn't already progressed (leaving the dog & owner behind) ?

And, how are those videos progressing ? I'll be really disappointed with my intuitions though, if OP finally comes up with one.

There is a popular poster on here , I think who the locals may call a " board expert " , who participated in an extensive discussion on another forum about reverse mask and seriousness. That poster agreed with the concept and even posted a pic of such a dog, but it seems she has been silent on this thread.
The hero of someone called a " hero worshipper " on this thread also participated in such a discussion on yet another forum and that well known breeder even concurred with the concept of reverse mask and hardness.
So there are several others " out there " other than Hans who are floating this concept of reverse mask and hardness, but some how on here posters seem way more focused on the posters rather than on the dog.
Prager do you remember the dog called Brix?

Mithuna, none of us knows if your dog is "hard", "insecure", or something inbetween.
I really regret I didn´t meet you and your dog when I was in New York, too late now.

I normally don´t ask for videos, but in this case a video would be more than helpful.
