Thanks Sunny. I'm glad I AM in California, albeit 450-500 miles north of where the greatest need is, so I CAN help a few of the dogs, particularly the working line dogs that most rescues won't touch, who otherwise would have left the kill shelters in plastic bags instead of in the back of a caring individual's truck. If it weren't for the cooperation and assistance of "legitimate 501c3 registered non-profit org's"  Coastal GSDR and Black Dog Rescue, usually acting on the dogs' behalves with NO notice, I would never even get the dogs out of the shelters down in the LA area. They trust me to do right by the dogs.  I am honored to earn that trust.

Female is being picked up by Olga tomorrow morning and brought to boarding to await transport. Dozer has had many phone calls about him, so shelter feels he will be able to be adopted out to a family. I will check on him on his due out date- the 24th.

I am pleased to hear that Dozer has a lot of interest. Sorry I have had to work long hours this week, driving long distances to try to close sales, saddled with my manager (read: minimal personal calls) probably again next week too. I'll call you today Marjorie.

I put an IP on thie female https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=515023501861192&set=a.110523875644492.11743.110523578977855&type=1&theater (in LA- Baldwin Park shelter) good till Tuesday. She was due to be PTS tonight or tomorrow. She is sick with an upper respiratory infection and has "a skin issue" that needs to be treated. I am 99% sure the "approved" rescue I work with will pull her for me Monday, but she will have to either be transported immediately or go into quarantine  boarding till I can get her up here.
I also plan to have Dozer pulled on Monday. Hopefully I can have them both transported together. Need funding folks. Dig deep.
Here is a video of Tina. How can I say no?  www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8rrZMdgRlU

A4501813 Tina is an intelligent six year old black and brown female German Shepherd mix who was found in Rosemead and brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on October 20th. Weighing ninety pounds, Tina will take readily to addition...
al training. She needs a proper introduction to other dogs, but we think she will be spectacular with children of all ages. A powerful girl with a silky soft coat and gorgeous markings, Tina has a skin condition which should be evaluated by a veterinarian. Tina is a magnificent girl who will be the perfect indoor pet for an individual or family living in a private home.

I am taking the two above (IF Dozer hasn't been adopted by tomorrow) and this one as well. Transport directly from Anaheim to me here on the prune ranch has been arranged. Any donations towards that $300. cost and the vet bills Tina will be accruing this week greatly appreciated.

I am sure that you will find a new home for Dozer in no time.  I cannot believe he hasn't been adopted. He is absolutely beatiful.  You are a wonderful person for caring and making sure these dogs are rescued. I live in Ontario and do what I can for our humane society up here.  Your actions touch my heart.  Thank you!!

Im still confused Darka by your response. Maybe I should be asking what your opinion of a "legit rescue" is? I started my rescue as only myself and ended it just the same. I gave 501c3 status because thats what most pet people assume is what makes a rescue legit. So after reading what you typed, I'm still confused. Is it the size that makes it legit or the volunteers? I dont know of too many rescue people that acquire a license because that just draws AC to knock on the door and no one wants AC on their door.
