Lanting's chart looks much like OFA's with the exception of no excellents. I'm not sure when OFA started to rate using excellents, but I know they were giving them in the early 70's although the rating was not part of the number as it is now. Hips and elbow ratings will always be subjective, but either a dog has normal hips or it doesn't.
