HD there is no "of course". You talk like I do not know what Malinois are all about. I am talking about quality and not about quantity. But there are enough good GSDs out there. You just need to know where to look. Same as you have some GSDs I too have some Malis, I went through many of them and I see their narrow spectrum pluses, but generally I am still waiting to be impressed. Over-amped, choleric pipsqueaks, when awake then 100% of the time bordering on out of control. But the video showed what most Malis can not do. To be LE K9 at work and aat the same time to be sociable, safe, sane under control, relaxed family members.
I am afraid this will turn into yet another Mali vs GSD thread. But this is a video of several cops talking about how they love their dogs. Where is the controversy? Cps and their wives and children love their dogs. This video to sing Kumbaya to. But put it on PDB and fight starts.

Hired Dog Wow 90%? You see a different group of Mali's then I do. The Mal 20 years ago I liked much better but what I have seen in the last few years are nerve bags. This is not to say I have not seen some good dogs cuz I have, but I have seen very few good dogs latley. But then again my requirements in a dog are much higher then most.

Paul, yes, 90%, if you know where to go and want dogs you can handle with experience.

Hired, that´s the old song... : " Paul, yes, 90%, if you know where to go and want dogs you can handle with experience. "
No difference to German Shepherds - you just need to know where to go.
But I disagree with the 90% - Paul saw a lot of nervy Mals, Prager did, and I saw a lot of them - if these are the 10% of the breed, there must be a lot of Mals out there nowadays

Susie, of course you are right!
