That dog new what he was doing look at the first grip and the the second grip .second grip he moved to the end of the sleeve to be closer to the hand with the wip coming down .that dog taught this out very well. The grip on the hand was hard with serious intent other wise he would have let go ☺

I have seen enough dirty dogs to know this was nothing more then that. The dog came into the blind got dirty with the sleeve, he did not properly grip it. He knew he was going to get cleaned off so he came off on his own (seen this hundereds of times), as he was coming off he saw the stick hand moving and grabbed it. Once he has the grip he isnt letting go. This is genetics and foundation. Id bet good money I can give this dog a grip on the sleeve and wave crap over his head and he will stay on that sleeve.

Many helpers get bitten in the blind all the time because of handler or decoy error. It doesnt really mean much in relation to a dog being "sporty" or not.

What happened to blackmaliois' post at bottom of page 13 .. ..the video he posted is gone. Training videos are now prohibited?

Good question.

I don't know of a single Mod who does not like training videos so no reason for one of us to delete it.

Blackmaliois has two blank posts on that page maybe Black deleted the posts

The second one with dots was because of duplicate post...that has been happening lately on many member's posts. He did not delete it, for sure. Odd ocurance :(

Dirty dog - proud helper - great promotion...

The first time the dog was on leash - fine ( bark and hold ).
The second time the dog was off leash - no bark, just hold. The dog knew it was wrong ( shitty grip ) and tried to make the best out of the situation.

I guess they didn´t train for IPO only, but tried a littlebit of everythig in the forefield.

Wonder if handler fully disclosed dog's propensities to helper??

by joanro on 11 August 2015 - 22:08

By the looks of the handling, I doubt the handler was even aware. I saw a dog who knew what was coming and was not going to allow it. This dog went on to become an IPO dog.

Blk mal, it was already there, I don't think that's the problem, other videos are still up. Probably the content wasn't politically correct.
