Time for puppy critique- opinions welcome - Page 5

Ehren looks just like Dylan, so it's coming from Capri, so I guess Aria. But his face isn't like hers as a pup; it's like her siblings' faces, but not even that breeding. He looks most like Dylan- more like Dylan than her black littermate, oddly. I always say "A little Capri goes a long way!" LOL

Eliot is just like his dad- expression, build, coat...temperament. What a DOLL. Ehren is a punk, like I'm used to. LOL   Eirick is a snob, like Caleb was as a puppy.

Eris is very similar to Aria in both looks and temperament. She is lighter, dry build, relentless prey drive, obnoxiously loud when she wants attention, and dangerous to offer food to by hand. When Aria was a pup, my dad was watching them while I was in the hospital. There were 2 girls I was keeping- Aria and Anza. When I got out, they had new names. Anza was "Fatty" and Aria was "Noisy."  When she came back this spring, my dad pointed at her and said "Who's this?" I said "you don't remember ARIA??? You took care of her for 2 months!" He thought a minute and said "That's not her name. She's Noisy. Noisy and Fatty. Now I remember."

They are all lovely, I'd take Ehren simply because, he's compact andf he'll grow to have very good proporations

. He has a very good topline, a solid head, good muzzle and expression. He,s the only one with dark eyes and strong colour.

Front and hind angulations are good. Generally they are well put togather, with good bone.

Confused a little bit....Ehren is the "only one with dark eyes and strong colour"?? Do you mean BOTH or EITHER? Do you mean of the pictures posted just in this thread or the entire litter? 

Interesting...as Eirik, Ember, Eliot, Eris have better/deeper color. Eliot's eyes are light; Eirik's are average and Ember's are slightly lighter. Eris' are fine. 

 

Of course, Ely, Little Mohawk, Combover...........a blue pup..........had the reddest red, the best bone and structure, LOL! Murphy's Law!

You have a point in asking for a clarification.

I followed this thread, most amazing thing is we, posters, did not agree on one single best puppy, each puppy got its own enthusiasts whether due to temperament (from your descriptions), anatomy, expression, color, pigment.........., that is an interesting thing, no?

Very interesting- I am of course in a different position since I saw them every day and still see a few of them every day, so I know who looks like what in real life and who is more photogenic than another. I also, of course, have my biases knowing their personalities.  Eliot, for example...beautiful little pup w/great expressive eyes- they didn't really come across in photos. You, I think, and Jackie were the only ones to take a liking to him. Ehren is typical Capri- and everyone picked out Ehren. I took the most photos of him because he seemed to photograph the best. Ember, in person, is stunning and sooo charismatic. Eris is very dark, SUPER build, and has a gorgeous thick coat. Eirik never looked as impressive in pics as he was in person, and in person, actually he and Ehren didn't look all that different. A gentleman came to see them, only interested in Eirik, and was stunned at how similar they were in person. I am a photo enthusiast, but I know cameras lie and that's part of the fun of it, actually, to capture who a pup or person really is on camera. 

Ehren and Ember were often mistaken for each other, ironically...yet in photos the differences are so clear. How a dog looks is so much more than the sum of their physical features. 

Yes, I agree. Afterall, they are all adorable, each one of them is adorable, lol.
