Charles Durand was recently referred to us to help us find and to import a German Shepherd male stud from Europe. We did our due diligence and researched Mr. Durand which included reading the complaints on Pedigree Database. However, lifelong experience has proven that you don't pronounce someone as guilty or unreliable based on one source. So we talked to Mr. Durand and got his side of the story and we talked directly to other people who had nothing but good things to say about him. So we took the leap of faith.

From day one, if he told us something he followed through and we never had to wonder what was happening with our purchase. He found us the perfect dog, the transfer of money was problem free. We were provided with a receipt and guarantee. We were given a delivery date and 3 days ago we received our handsome big boy.

My husband and I have purchased, bred and sold many German Shepherds in the past so we knew what to expect. From personal experience we also know that as a seller, broker, breeder, etc.... there are going to be those people that no matter what you do you aren't going to please them. They thrive on and get their thrills from bashing others even when truth be known the problems started with them. I don't know if this was the case in the above complaints but we tend to find out the truth for ourselves and don't just take someone else's word for it. In our case, Charles Durand was everything that he represented himself to be, the entire process was problem free. Without hesitation we would recommend Mr. Durand to anyone looking for a broker.

We had many complaints about him and I checked out several of them.  The ones I checked were true and had nothing to do with the buyer causing the problem. Selling a dog more than once is not the buyer doing something wrong as an example.

Even to the point that many were talking about filing a police complaint about him.

Please update us when you have your paperwork,  it passed AKC that is easy, the DNA compared with the original test done in Country of origin and Hip and Elbow tests compared with your new ones.

PS  Care to share your new dog's information??  We have some people here with very good knowledge of pedigrees no matter the country and of many kennels in Europe

the crazy thing is that probably anyone in Europe, supplying good, honest dogs, s/l or w/l to the U.S. can probably do well just from a good reputation.

no need to cheat, just be honest.

if one person on PDB has negative comments, I might check further.

if more than one person plus mods have negative comments, I think someone must be stupid to deal with that person.

Charles Durand is a thief, I can provide all details confirming this. Happy he did not screw you but he screwed us and hopefully the law will catch up with him soon. I know it will.

VinnyB he may have, they do not have the dogs papers yet nor verified them or the health tests.
