Peaceful exchange of power? Like the whole Tea Party and birther movement that followed Obama's victory? Ironic how Trump was part of that, isn't it? The term United States of Amnesia is really appropriate at times. It really is all about whose ox is being gored.
And Noitsyou is not going because he is no longer single otherwise, "how you doin'?"

Peaceful transfer of power Beetree? So exatly when did the opposing camp actually peacefully accept that Obama was the rightful elected president? Was it the birther movement? The Republicans publically vowing to block or oppose anything President Obama proposed? The forced shutdown? And the list goes on....now these same people want the opposition side to do what they never did and quietly accept President-Elect Trump. Well guess we will see.
Most women I talked to are not happy about Trump and his cabinet picks so far, however, they are going to make sure Trump sees women and LGBT members will not go away quietly.

How can one base an argument on what someone thinks someone said they might do? And then they become the ones that actually are doing it, the offensive thing! That is what doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
It just seems to me it makes more sense for the country's sake to wait and see what a Trump Presidency is actually like. Then a protest march would have some real meat to gnaw on. How is one going to claim success, as it stands now? Does that success need a march? I don't think so. Isn't this just a big Hillary wake?
Vk4, I think you were reading fake news about an assassination attempt ... that one was news to me! He is not going to lock her up, either, but it sure is fun to say that, still.
Chaz, the worse thing with all those angry women will be waiting in line to use the bathroom.
Noitsyou, I am sure your being married only means your whole family can go --,it isn't a singles only march, if your passion for this cause moves you to action.

People have the right to express themselves through peaceful demonstrations and I support their right to exercise that right regardless of how I feel about their goals or the effectiveness of the method. Saying it isn't going to have a desired effect or will be counterproductive is pure speculation. The birther movement was effective as people still believed it. Even the president elect believed it at one point. All of the right wing internet "news" sites, like Breibart, can thank that Obama backlash for creating the environment in which they could exist. All of those birthers and tea baggers needed a place to commiserate. A safe space where facts aren't allowed.
As far as demonstrating before or after the fact: an ounce of prevention.....
One more thing about the birther movement and giving Obama a chance: it started before Obama was even elected.
PS. You really have no sense of humor. Try turning the Hillary hate switch to off once in a while.

I found your whole post humorous and irrelevant. LoL There was no hate, you must be projecting your own! I have moved on to pity.
Try looking forward, not backward!

The numbers attending being thrown around are about 135,000. And the stage of the Lincoln Memorial is off the table, because of the prior Inaugural permit claim. Good thing the march orgsnizers didn't co-opt the "Million" into the moniker.
I tried to go to Eventbrite and see what it costs for a ticket, but the site was a wreck, too many question marks all over the place.
I think if Trump was smart, and ballsy, he would show up and address the crowd. That is the venue of his forte, supposedly. And it would be a test for measuring a genuine motive of those wanting only to exercise their right to a peaceful protest.

@beetree, of course you would find my post irrelevant; you are clearly intellectually inferior to me. Maybe you should have your mentor help you with posting because you come off no differently than a typical poster at that other unnameable forum.
With that said, you could at least be honest. You despise Hillary and have made that abundantly clear on here. It's OK, it is your right to care more about feelings than facts. As far as your advice about looking forward I should insert a quote from Santayana. However, your advice is good if you want to avoid culpability and not face reality. I, like you apparently, have that luxury but unlike you I choose not to take advantage of it. Socrates said the unexamined life is not worth living. I can see why you would be afraid of doing that and instead obsess about what other people are doing and why. How about you take your own advice and wait to see what exactly happens, you know, give them a chance, before casting judgment? Maybe your wish will come true and it will turn violent. Then you can come back here and tell us all "I told you so." I would give you a cookie afterward but you probably bake your own.

Point one: I am always honest.
Point two: You are not my intellectual superior. It is your narcissism that holds your blinders. I don't suffer from that. I see all sides, even my own flaws. When you hit the right ones, I'll let you know.
Point three: Take my words for what they are. In the instance of Hillary-- I said I pity her, as hate is such a waste for any figure of identity that is not an actual known person. I don't respect her, for what you do, but please don't make it into something it is not.
Looking forward does not negate the past, but provides hope of an opportunity not otherwise envisioned.
Pizza arrived, I'll have to see later, if there is more to comment on.
In the end, your sexist digs at me, and other asserted falsenesses only prove to me, my original impression, that you really aren't a nice guy.
