sunshine, I know you remember how scarce places and people for Gally to train with for his HGH are here in the US... Well, vk4gsd is in Australia, and he'd likely have a far easier time of getting his dog ready for that title than in finding even just a helper with much experience down there--IPO is not permitted down there, so what you're seeing from his dog is what he's been able to teach the dog on his own until just recently, when he was fortunate enough to find someone who was interested in doing helper work. Considering that, I think the dog is actually doing pretty well, especially when you factor in that the guy in the suit is still learning, too, and the one at the other end of the line freely admits that he is also a work in progress as a trainer in this particular discipline.

You have a nice dog VK, the bark says a lot about the dog's inner strength. To me the dog is being shown too much of a side or back presentation by the decoy, when the decoy swings his arm it gives the dog the back of the elbow or the back of the arm as a target, which will do a lot of damage in a real bite but at some point the dog should be taught to come in front and confront the attacker head on. I've got to hand it to you for making the most of the training opportunities that you have and I like the concern you showed for the decoy's safety.

Ya know, just throwin' this out there, but some dogs move around on a bite because they aren't getting rewarded, ie, feeling like they're biting flesh, if they only get a mouthful of suit or sleeve. These dogs don't want suit, they want flesh. They want to feel like they're hurting the decoy. There is a huge difference between a dog who isn't full and calm out of insecurity and a dog who isn't because they're trying to get a better "in" to hurt you with. Trouble is finding internet quarterbacks who can tell the difference.

Duke dog has no papers, he is line bred on gento and sire is a nukey son. Nukey was a eurosport stud, I will find nukey's ped when not on a phone.of course you will know gento.
Marko frontal bites are on hold, dog is too dirty, need more safety equipment.

Hey VK nice dog I like his aggression.
Maybe Im out to lunch but I wouldnt worry to much about prey work with him. I would put him on the right bicep and teach him a pushing grip,
Keep him on leash on an agitation collar. Back tie him and stand with him, have the decoy agitate him and give him a couple of misses to the bicep area. You can also hold him on a shrt leash and have the decoy come into him slowly with the target presented. Or grab the dog on either side of the collar and literally put him on the bite KNPV style.
Then have the decoy get close enough that he grips the suit doesnt matter if its a crap grip as long as he is on. The decoy should immidiately show pain and submission upon the first bite. Scream look away.
Unclip him and have the decoy walk backwards slowly with him on the bicep and you giving back pressure on the leash. Give him some momentary instances of slack on the leash the release in back pressure will make him to want to regrip on the suit and thus push. The idea being to teach him to grip the arm beneath. The second he regrips deeper give a temporary release of pressure on the leash and praise / pet him. The decoy immediately responds with high pitched prey noises and averted eyes / face.
Then have the decoy slip the suite or have him go down into a kneel or on his back so your guy knows he owns him.
Rinse and repeat until he is regularly targetting the bicep and pushing nicely. You can then progress to short and progressively longer sends and teach more targets as well.
Thats what I would do, full disclosure Im not an expert in suit work this is just imo.
I guy I know in SC has some real nice videos and can give you better info on the process.
