Solo... you almost fed me a line to be horrid to you there but Im biting my tongue. Im glad Rhoda is getting better and hope she doesnt need to miss the impending shows because of it (since she is the attender at most of them). All this extra work has made you quieter than usual on here.... its been a little reprieve. I look forward to future discussions. ;-)

I am cutting back on my comments on this site, I get fed up commenting to anonymous people, many of which probably own a cross breed, and have never bred a litter of GSD, and then make authorative uninformed comments. drives me crazy.

Thank you Elizabeth, well spotted. Although only recently posted my first message, I have followed the subjects & comments on this site for some time. Hence, perhaps why you felt my statement to be Profound. I presume you did mean 'Profound'? i.e. Mentally deep, thorough, searching, subtle, in contrast with superficial. (Most certainly, Yes !!) Of Profound Knowledge. (Well, I would never go that far. As I believe there is always much for everybody still to learn about our breed. For those who profess to know it all have stopped learning. So their knowledge will only ever extend as far as the day they thought they knew it all !!). As for the comment from Solo; considering he does not know who I am, he professes to Know Too Much. For his information a dogs Arse, is the place where all that brown stuff he keeps finding in his kennels is coming from!!! The elbow is what often makes dogs limp on the front leg. Is that correct? Not suprisingly all of you concentrated on replying to my Profound Comments and not one to those subjects I suggested would be of much more interest.

Getting back on topic. Do a self analysis here. Just take a look at the results from the recent NASS and look who won all the classes. Is there any kennel that prevailed more than once? If some kennel that had political influence was in attendance and schmoozing, catering to the judge, getting brownie points, etc....where did it pay off? OK, now look at the kennels that you felt did the schmoozing, etc... and look where their dogs placed. See any pattern that would suggest there was any influence? I'll bet you don't. If so please post it here. I heard Mr. Stetzer as he left the ring in the 12 to 18 females comment that he sold one puppy to the US this year and it was last place. If there were politics involved, wouldn't you one of the dogs from the judges kennel would get a place other than last in the class? For those that believe politics rule the shows, please continue to feel this way. Buy your dogs based on who you think the next judge will be. Go sit with him and make a pest of yourself by occupying an abundance of his time and tell him about all the great dogs you have in your kennel. Don't be surprised when he wasn't impressed and put other dogs in front of you. I repeat my statement based on reasons posted above from my previous posts. Spend your time learning about the breed. Get a good dog, train it and show it and breed it to the right dog and you will have more success.

Dog1 - Henning Setzer - FIDELIUS ZWINGER. has been a friend of mine for some 8+ years, and I mean a friend, NOT that I bought a dog from him, so I claim he is a friend. Henning is his own person, VERY HONEST - VERY SINCERE, his wife is exactly the same. Henning has a wonderful sense of humour, but can be very serious when it is required. He is NOT perfect, but he is very close, my wife and I, and most people who meet Henning. Like him instantly, and respect him thereafter. He Judges honestly, and with great knowledge and skill, but with humour and sensitivity. I am privileged to call him "MY FRIEND"

Solo, I thought he was a good judge too. I think there are many like him on the SV lists of judges.

Solo - not sure if thats entirely directed at me but I'll answer it anyway. I hope you don't cut back on your comments - everyone has a right to their opinion as long as it's stated as such. I thought you were quiet because you were busy... and my attempt at humour wasn't meant to be a further insult. On this site its the agression and the personnal attacks which need to go so that responses can refrain from getting personnal - don't you think? I understand that it annoys you that people remain annonymous but I can't see why - thats obviously a personnal opinion of yours, mine is that it makes no difference who is commenting - most folk will spot the fools a mile away. I think very few people on this site 'own a cross breed' other than those with a companion cross in addition to their shepherds. In the current climate you have to be able to take what you dish out... but this is an exceptional site, a fabulous breed tool, lets all get back to talking about the dogs. Their POSITIVE and negative points. Each animal on here will be someones pride and joy after all.
