Although most who post to this list think AKC people and shows are a bunch of crap, I must inform you that socializing in the show ring with any judge, before or after the assignment is not permitted. If a complaint is lodged, the judge would most likely have his/her priviledges suspended or, at the least, would receive a written reprimand.

Well Blitzen, it gets worse. I had to take all day Friday off from work to drive to the Show. The USCA Northeastern Regional Conformation Show on Long Island, NY. No toilet facilities. You had to drive to the Deli or find a spot somewhere on the grounds to do your own business. No concessions. No plan. Did not know when lunch break was. Everyone had another answer. Prepared to go find my handler more than twice because we just had to be prepared. Entry fee $50.- Gas cost $100.- , more than 18 hours driving round trip with traffic and other obstacles, hotel costs in excess of $100.- Did the organizers want anyone to come? Or do they not want anyone to return?

I guess there is an advantage of having a governing body such as AKC in charge of approving show sites, judges, etc.. It doesn't sound to me as if the hosting club was thinking of the exhibitors at all. Too bad there are so SV style few shows around, no competition means no need to put on a quality show, the entries will keep rolling in regardless.

Elizabeth, I have not tried to defend myself, I have only tried to point out my view on the tone of your posts. It's no wonder why you are so paranoid about participants in shows socializing with judges. When a person is anti-social and can not play well with others the result is that they try to make themselves look smart and clever while trying to make others look foolish. This has been your style of interaction on this board. If you had any personality whatsoever it would be YOU that would be socializing and making friends at shows instead of being jealous of others that are doing that. You would even go so far as to ban any interaction between exhibitors and judges who have traveled thousands of miles to share their knowledge with us, ARE YOU FOR REAL? What's even more pathetic is that you actually believe the garbage you write on this board, you are severely delusional and I believe that it is YOU who should seek help. It must be terrible to live such a lonely and unhappy existence such as you do. Try being nice and making friends and having a positive outlook on life and stop being such a retard and shit stirrer and your life may just be worth living. Now continue on with your self righteous point of view and spew some more B.S. on this site, dam are you tiring.

Saw the Topic Heading - 'Behaviour Expectations' and in my naivety I actually thought I would be browsing through some positive discussion on Dog Behaviour. Just shows how simply innocent, ingenuous, frank, open & candid I really am! Of course 'behavior expectations'(USA Spelling?)on a dog site would be about the 'Behaviour Expectations' (UK Spelling)of Judges & Exhibitors!! How foolishly silly of me to think it would be about Dogs!!! Seems the whole world over suffers from Negativity. Queen Elizabeth of the States meets 'Man from Uncle' from the UK (alias Napolion Solo). When you feel like discussing something positive which might actually be helpful or informative such as:- Canine Herpes, Scent Stimulation, Food Allergies, Training Techniques, Socialising & Bonding Exercises, (just a few examples for you to be going on with) please give me a prod. Thank You. My Regards to Moe

Peace in the ME??? Heck, the GSD community cannot even deal with each other positively and with integrity.

Wow, Kas a very profode statement for your first post...since you only signed on 10/04/04," It would appear that you are already making a statement about where you come in your opinion, from "Queen Elizabeth of the States meets 'Man from Uncle' from the UK (alias Napolion Solo)". Hey you go for it Kas...let's see what you have to offer this board as far as information or experience.....please share your credentials/expertations.....

Aw Solo... thats not very nice is it? You know its not true either! I see you have found your perfect pen pal here in Elizabeth. Moe could just as easily be me! during our earlier conversations. Obviously it happens all over! Read your sieger imprtessions with interest. And I truly hope Rhoda is on the mend.

by solo on 19 October 2004 - 14:10

JOZOLLI: I tend to react to sarcasm, like that from Kas, in an aggressive way, call it a personality flaw if you like. Rhoda is making an excellent recovery according to her surgeon, in the meantime I am having to look after the dogs - can anyone tell me what this brown smelly stuff is that keeps appearing in the kennels??????
