As usual, a thread that starts out with people talking civilly to each other winds up deteriorating because one individual wants to bring it DOWN to their level. Here are the ACTUAL QUOTES from this ONE individual as they entered the discussion: 1. ""You obviously do NOT know what you are talking about"" 2. ""I used that as an example as you are obivously not capable to understand the basic premise of the ZW system."" 3. ""You are such an idiot."" 4. ""as a reaction to your previously posted garbage. On top of not being able to understand German you obviously also have issues with English."" 5. ""Ahhh, finally you have outed yourself, second time around."" 6. ""Also, had you actually been such a long term expert of the GSD then you would refer to Karl instead of Marion, chuckle, very big chuckle"" Good way to promote a calm academic debate, wouldn't you say? Condescension and insult ALWAYS works well in a debate! Who needs to concentrate on the merits of the argument when it is so much more fun to berate and belittle? Notice that the insults and the flames had not occurred prior to this individual entering the discussion. This is typical for that person. If you search through her past posts you will see countless examples of the same thing. The sad part is that there is some good in formation mixed in with the flames and the insults. So what happens? The person that the comments are directed at stops listening and any good info is lost because of the behavior of this person. Another sad fact is that there are people here talking about suspending or banning an individual when they violate the rules of appropriate behavior once dyrin.com is in place. But unfortunately, this person apparently has a following so even under those circumstances she will probably be allowed to continue to annoy and insult the rest of us. BTW notice that I did not resort to name calling in this thread. (idiot,etc)
