Over feeding a pup is a common cause of diarrhea with new owners. Some people can't resist feeding more than a pup should have.

IMO when breeding things happen. No matter the amount of research one puts into a breeding something can be missed and sometimes the pair is just not a healthy match up, that does not make a breeder bad. It happens. What does make a breeder good or bad is how they handle the problem. Now a days contracts need to be thorough and 20 pages long. LOL. Also it's always best to communicate through emails or some type of messaging. As this leaves a paper trail which could be beneficial to either party. Phone calls leaves you open for he said she said and no I didn't yes you did with no actual proof. Just my 2 cents.

I personally am not a fan of telephone conversations when discussing agreements or warranties.  Also I am beginning to think that for every "cover somebody's ass" statement there needs to be another to cover that statement. A good attorney can find a loop hole in EVERY statement. Nothing is fool proof.

I firmly believe that contracts and agreements whether one page or twenty pages are only worth the value of the person's ethics that is signing it. JMO

Be careful of the "antibiotic" fix all. The more you give the bigger the boomerang when you finally have to stop it. I would spend the money and find out exactly what is wrong over just throwing antibiotics at the problem. Vets seem to like you coming back over and over. Good for the overhead. Not so good for the dog.

I also do not agree that vets just assume that dogs have epi when things like this come up. Ive had a couple of dogs with epi and we tried more than a few things BEFORE testing for epi. That was the last resort and it was only because I pushed for it not the vets I saw. Maybe its where I live that made the difference.
