Rebecca contacted me and stated that Charles is not an agent at all. Seems he buys older dogs then what he is saying from breeders who are looking to give them good homes. She is going to do everything possible to fix this and if not will contact the AKC. She is mailing me her DNA test. Finally my belief in good breeders is restored! You have been a wonderful help to me and it was you guys who got me on the right path to stop this guy .thatnk you

I will make this statement/warning a stand alone post.

Any seller of dogs who uses a member who is a banned scammer here and who does not do all in their power to make the deal whole will all so be banned.

There is no reason for a seller to not do their homework and see who they are dealing with any more than the buyer.

 

Update been speaking to Rebecca Cummings from Southern Imports. She has not only been very helpful but a wonderful person. Good to know just check with the previous owner of the dog and override Charles and you will get somewhere. There are good people out there and Rebecca has proven to be one of them.

I'm curious...what did the breeder have to say about the fact that the female you received is HW positive? How long did Charles Durand have her in his possession before she was sold and shipped to you?

The breeder was horrified to hear about the heartworm. She said Nov. 2017 he says just 3wks. I tend to believe her since she is working diligently about getting me the paperwork, and is in constant contact even allowing me to come up and see her kennel. Charles on the other hand has been not so forthcoming. She said she will never do business with him again. My girl is gaining weight finaly and is a wonderful addition to our family. We will do everything we can to bring her back to the wonderful animal she deserves to be! Thank you all for your prayers and care without you guys this would never get solved. Charles Durand is an asshole plane and simple. I wish I could meet him face to face and convey my true feeling towards him. Sad thing is that the police have been notified, yet no one has done anything to charge him and hold him accountable for his actions. If law enforcement allows pple like him to scam, rob and cheat honest hard working pple without any repercusion, he and others will continue with their dishonest practices

First off Charles had her for a month and admitted that he hosed her down in the run. He also told me she was 2yrs old and I have the texts, then he claimed he was talking about another dog. Why since I was only interested in Ghana? Then he said he told us she was 4 when we were there that's bs. On a good note she starts her heartworm treatment tomorrow and she is eating wonderfully! I am thrilled but he has commented fraud and I won't let him get away with it. If it takes all my savings he is not getting away with it. He just did it again! And it was all their savings. They too are going after him. Pray the heartworm gets cured I couldn't bear to lose her. He paid 450 for her I paid 1500 plus another 1400 to cure her. The money means nothing to me but he will be sorry that he did me wrong not to mention what he did to the poor dog!

Lynda can you or anyone else tell me how long it takes for a dog to have worms in the heart.

From the time they are exposed, then larve in the blood stream and then to actually have worms in the heart.
