So if Drago is a big dog that is athletic , by such reasoning that must be many big dogs are athletic. Not everyone care for " particularly challenging athleticism ". And the activities you engage in with your dog most of the time call for " challenging athleticism?
Whats the name of that sport?
are you just an agility person?

Mithuna, many times when people call asking about my dogs, the first question is how big are my dogs. So I turn it around and ask what size they are looking for in a gsd ...when the answer is 100 pounders, I tell them, no, I breed within the breed standard, go find someone who breeds oversized gsd.
As for over sized females...the female of most every canid is smaller than the male. If you select oversized females, it is only logical that oversized offspring will result. As for a dog like Drago...that type dog is too clunky in my opinion with too much loose skin and generally overdone.
If you like heavy over sized gsd, there are plenty of breeders out there to accommodate you. No point trying to change the breed standard for your personal preference....personal preference without regard for breed standard is the downfall of every breed. Jmo.

I don't know where you are getting the idea that we are saying your dog cannot functionally perform just as well as a male of the same weight. I didn't read that anywhere and didn't get the idea anyone is suggesting it. We are just stating that there is a standard for the breed, with size/weight lower and upper limits, and your dog may not fit into those limits. Compare your dog's athleticism to another GSD female that is within the breed standard. To do that you would need to get out there and view a bunch of female GSD's that are within the breed standard, doing jumps, runs, etc. Then you would need to HONEST about what you saw, and not biased by your love for your dog. I am not saying that it's not possible for your female to be just as athletic as one within the breed standard, but since we have not seen even one pic of her doing anything other than sitting/lying down it's hard to judge her overall structure. As to her being on par with a male of the same size/weight so far as athletic ability - it's quite possible. But we were talking about the breed standard, with regard to size/weight for the males and females.

It doesn't really matter what we think of your dog - you love her and care for her, and she is loyal to and good with your family. The original post that you made, many pages back, was in regard to a dog with balance vs one of more extremes.

'On the one hand there is the prey driven equipment oriented  dog; his drive allow him to bring power to the work, but  he  is very much fixated on the training equipment. On the other hand is the more balanced dog , with strong suspicion and civil orientation. The former has been called a sport dog, and the latter a real dog.'

You really need to get out there and SEE a whole bunch of dogs working, as has been suggested to you repeatedly, instead of spitting rhetoric that you have gathered from the 'net.     Then you can figure out what constitutes a "sport dog" or a "real dog".    And you may even realize there is no mutually-exclusive domain between the two.     Heck, you may even change your perspective on the whole dog training scene - but ONLY if you approach the subject with an open mind and learn from people who really know their stuff.     Good luck, I hope you can get out there and see the big world of working dogs.

Yea but Joan the Judges still gave him a V. Did they use the breed standard or no?

Mithuna- 'Any way personally Im not Impressed with what I see . I know what I like.'

Knowing what you have said you like, it's not a suprise you're not impressed with the pics posted.
Your own dog is not impressive per the gsd.

Is it me or are there more and more new owners constructing their world view of dogs via message board posts.

Mithuna what sport do I do;  eta wrong clip, be back.

Mithuna,
Drago can work at 97lbs because he is a fit 97lbs not an obese couch placeholder.
Just like like some people can look great at 200, and others can look like Peter Griffin.
Your female is a bigger boned female, but it is over-exaggerated due to fat.
Will upload a picture when I get to desktop.
