Dawulf, that's good to hear...would hate to think that in addition to using someone else's pictures, Blue Panther had also swiped somebody's kennel name for a stud dog.  Does Susan know if he's been titled or not?

She told me she isn't for sure... but that the dog is not yet *but is in the process* registered. Can you get a scorebook for an un-registered dog?

I thought that too though. I'd hate to see them misrepresenting her kennel. She also said he is not a showline, but indeed the littermate brother of her Carly. ;)

Yeah, you can get a scorebook for any dog, registered or not, even mixed breed--if the dog isn't registered with USCA, then the scorebook will list it as a mixed-breed; not sure about how a scorebook from WDA, AWDF or DVG would list the breed, but a scorebook would still be issued by those groups, too, if the owner met all other requirements as far as membership went...

Odd that the registration was still 'in process', but hey, who knows what travels the dog has experienced?  I once bought a 10 year old Siberian who had only just been registered a year earlier, by his 3rd owner...registration hadn't mattered to the other two owners, all they'd cared about was how well the dog worked in harness.

Interesting situation.

Hello Everyone. I came across this post via my search for tips and advise on avoiding unscrupulous breeders, I'm getting ready to purchase a new puppy( a bullmastiff) after lossing mine- of nine years, to kidney failure. Anyway, I was informed how these  devils sometimes will post photos breeding stock that doesn't belong to them. I had typed " breeders using fake pictures" and found this thread.

I just wanted to say that a felt so bad for the OP! She seemd so frustrated, and seemed to be getting nowhere. Bless her heart. Anyway, I went and had a peek at the blue panther site, and found this critter below on the puppy page, could this be the dogs she's talking about????

I also see what Missharrison sees. I thought it was interesting that the kennel had switched to a dog on a sleeve, but now has switched back to the old pic.

I put watermarks on 80% of my photos now. About 5 years ago, I had a stripper in Gainesville, FL (no joke) steal a pic of one of my dogs and put it on Craigslist claiming she owned the dog and was selling him. A friend found it and sent me the ad. I called the number (which was to a strip bar) and spoke with the actual woman who had stolen the pic. Simply amazing!! Anyhow ... lesson is to watermark any pic you don't want stolen.

Once I had someone join some pet dog forum and she stole pictures of all three of my dogs, used their real call names, but pretended they were hers and made up stories about where they came from.  It was seriously the weirdest thing ever.  The weirdest part was, she had been a member there for years and was pretty well respected among that forum.  I had all the photos removed and I believe she got banned.

The owner of the site has taken down the false titles and such on Counsellor, and I'd like to believe that this is the real him. I've met two of his full sisters, and this dog does resemble them to an extent *though I'm not positive it's really him*. Counsellor is not titled or even registered, but the breeding did happen. I'm not even sure he has his hips and elbows done but I can't be positive on that part. The litter won't even be registerable though, since the sire isn't.... which is a shame for the dogs more than anything.
