Well I would still like to know the genetic mix here as to how those Sable pups came out of those Red and Black parents.
Have I really been that wronggg on how colors co ordinate on these dogs?

by hexe on 25 December 2012 - 01:12

kitkat, given that Haus Dooling breeds working line dogs, the dog that's named as the sire of the Blue Panther litter, that Counselor Haus Dooling, is probably a sable, thus the sable pups.

I can witness that the stud dog (now taken off of blue panther's website ) was from Love Thy Shepherd's website. I was the one who saw the error in the first place and had emailed blpanther to see if she knew that the dog was owned by someone else, and that the dog's name was different than the one on her website.

I have a snap shot of the email Love Thy Shepherd sent to blue panther. If anyone wants to see proof please pm me. I took the snap shot off because I was told it was against policy / terms.

Like I said I noticed the ad first and had remembered that the photo of the sire on blue panther's website belonged to Love Thy Shepherd ( I can remember a lot of things like that ). Therefore I had told a friend of mine about it, just to tell her about someone using another person's dog on their website and such. I didn't know it, but my friend had sent an email to Love Thy Shepherd regarding the issue and that's where this post is at now. My friend took a picture of the email Love Thy Shepherds had emailed her to me.

after the incident, I checked back on blue panther's website and the photo had been changed to the dog on the sleeve...

Sorry if I caused major issues here. All I wanted to do was tell a friend of mine about what they did and my friend told Love Thy Shepherd.

My friend is not a member on PDB so can't comment to witness.

that's all I can say.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND I HOPE YOU HAVE A GERAT NEW YEAR.
BIV.

Hey, the drama part of this is most certainly NOT your fault, BIV.

I'm pretty sure most of us would not have approached the Blue Panther people with so much venom right off the bat, that's all.

Gee--I can't imagine why they ignored Love Thy Shepherd's contacts after the initial one, especially since they took the photo of her dog off as soon as she pounced on them for having done so.  I don't blame LTS for being unhappy and upset about it--just don't see where it was worth the immediate cursing and threats...even though I don't buy the 'a friend gave me the picture as a picture of the sire' part, topped with the 'the sire is a much better looking dog' balderdash.  If they didn't recognize that the photo they were 'given' WASN'T a photo of the sire of their litter, then how do they know that the sire is a better looking dog than the one in that photo?  And why would they need to get a photo of the sire from a friend--why didn't the owner of the sire give them a picture [and how about a pedigree, too?] of the sire?

So much of the story doesn't pass the 'smell' test...but your role in the saga, BIV, was honorable and decent from the jump, so I wouldn't worry about it. You didn't do anything wrong, rude or antagonistic--you just pointed out a fact, and there's nothing wrong with that. [Though I venture to say that the Admins will probably delete your snapshot of the emails between Love Thy Shepherd and Blue Panther, 'cause posting emails IS against the Terms of Service for the site. You can cite the contents of an email, even quote from it, but you can't post the actual email under the TOS.

So, for those who won't see the exhange, basically, LTS lauched an all-caps email to Blue Panther that, in the first line, asked 'who the F do you think you are?', followed by the statement that they were using her dog's photo on their webpage, and ordering them to take the photo off; LTS went on to exclaim that she had owned 'the picture of of that male' on their puppy page 'since he was 10 weeks old'. That made no sense, but I guess she meant that she'd owned the dog in that picture since he was 10 weeks old...

Anyway, after that confusing comment came a threat of legal action, 'for a lot of money', followed by LTS exclaiming that she was exposing them as 'the crook you are'.  [And she wonders why she doesn't inspire a warm, fuzzy emotion in other posters here on PDB, right?]

The Blue Panther person responded by saying 'sorry', that the picture had been given to them by a friend 'as a picture of the sire', and then bragging that the actual sire was much better looking than LTS's dog anyway. [See my puzzlement above--so you've SEEN the sire, Blue Panther? And yet...???]

It's actually kind of an amusing exchange, in that both parties reveal a great deal about themselves without even realizing it...

I do find it strange that this Counselor Haus Dooling, which one would think would have come from the Susan Dooling's vom Haus Dooling kennel, has absolutely NO identity on the web anywhere, save for the Blue Panther puppy page, yet is purported to be not only a SchH3, but an IPO 3 as well--unless those titles are left over from when they had a picture of the sire of the previous litter in that spot.  Given that Susan Dooling has title info on her website for pups from her C-litter, both the one she kept AND ones she sold--and there's no Counselor Haus Dooling listed there, it does bear asking if the sire of the Blue Panther litter actually IS titled or not; and who owns Counselor Haus Dooling? What's his breeding? If he's titled to a SchH and IPO 3, where did he earn those titles?

Caveat emptor, friends. Caveat emptor, ALWAYS.

Hexe, I thought that was strange too... I train with Susan Dooling, and at that club is her dog from the C-litter, and one of her littermates (both are freakin' awesome, BTW!), and I've never heard of Counsellor. I will have to ask her about him when I see her next...

by hexe on 26 December 2012 - 04:12

Good idea, Dawulf...I'm really interested to hear if this Counselor is from Susan's breeding.

Hope you had a nice holiday, and Jewel the Golden Girl did, too!

Is this Blue Panther kennel even a real kennel, or someone that has thrown together an Internet site and randomly posted a bunch of mix match dog photos with alleged titles and pedigrees from someone else's labor? With the way the internet works, it's fairly easy to setup this sort of thing. It like some long lost relative that has recently died in Nigeria....all I have to do is send a couple thousands dollars first, before the bank releases the millions of $ to me.

Well there is a Counselor after all. Thumbs Up
