Yes MollyandJack, that goes with "what I had in mind", sorry for the confusion here, don't mind that Vonissk, and I tell you I would trust your expertise more than my little observations, I do, but to my bottom heart those observations are true on the scale of dogs I put my hands on.

I don't;  I see he is a sable.  BUT I am still not too sure about the original bitch.
I am convinced by the later pair of photos of her IF IT IS THE SAME ANIMAL.
Pity I can't find a Survey Report for her..

"I bet many would think he's black/tan saddled..."

No way....

by Ibrahim on 19 October 2012 - 19:10

Okay.......okay, I should have said many ordinary or novice GSD lovers would think he's black/tan saddled, that way my statement would be correct.

I said I was done but I have to make one more correction. You said that Iron Man's dam was not a showline. That tells me you never went and looked at the pedigree link because his dam most definately IS 100% American showlines. All I have to say is you must not be putting your hands on very many dogs.

Susie absolutely that is a sable and not a saddle patterned dog.

Ibrahim please stop as you are digging the hole deeper and deeper. BTW it's not your english that is confusing--English wasn't my first language either so that has nothing to do with it. It is your lack of knowledge that is getting you into trouble here. And the more you try to explain the deeper you dig the hole.
And I apologize for saying you said his dam wasn't showlines--that's not exactly what you said but it was what you implied. That's another thing that tells me you never read my posts because I am always joking about them being mutts.

Okay I see now that you deliberately resist to understand what I say and just try to make me look wrong and make yourself look SUPER INFORMED.
This is what I said:

your dogs are not products of show line black/tan saddles mated with Sables though they have non sable ancestors

It is apparently different than what you interpreted. So afterall what I thought is my poor English is more precise than yours !!!

i surely am not the most knowledgable person in here on GSD's however i feel like givin up my 2 euro cents (lol im in germany) i could have sworn a sable was a dog that has his colors(brown black/tan black) mixed all together through and through, and a dog with black here tan there was NOT a sable, wether the black be sableish or not..........just my 2 euro cents

You are incorrect, supak.

Waiko (last dog posted on the 2nd page) is defintiely a sable.  Sables come in the same patterns as black and tan.  Bi, blanket, and saddle.

Many people say bi color itself is a color...I personally think it is a pattern.

by beetree on 21 October 2012 - 23:10

Well, look here... this sable with the racoon eyes..... see I think all these variation end up in the von der Krone zone...

And this one has the horizontal stripes... that I just learned about, lol...
