Police dept. usually sends a committee to check dogs they buy before shipping, and sometimes they send officers abroad for training purpose. Few months ago there was a tender for bomb detection dogs, GSDs and Belgian Shepherds, I took part in that tender but lost it to someone else.

They were here for some sort of training. They were at a neighboring cities PD touring the various specialty units, i.e. SWAT, K-9. They were also looking at various vehicles the dept used. It was a surprise visit to the K-9 range and I just happened to be there assisting with training for the current K-9 school. Since they came out we did a demo, they were not K-9 guys nor were they looking for dogs. One of the guys told me what they were doing but I forgot. Something to do with Policing techniques and Investigations if I remember correctly.
