Theres nothing worse than to watch a beautiful strapping german bred boy go down from DM unable to get up and unable to walk anymore.  And believe me that is the way it acts;  very devastating and can you imagine the feeling for the dogs?

I agree Nans Gsd, I watched my big beautiful boy (below) go from an active working dog to a dog that couldn't support his back end in a very short time.  It was devestating to all of us although he kept his "kiss my a** because I am king" attitude up to his last moment.

I am keeping track of all of you breeders who test when it comes time to add to my tribe......

1st picture is Loki DM free, 2nd picture is the day before he was euthanized due to DM.

Thank you to all you responsible breeders who are actively trying to stamp out this disease, no other dogs should end up like this..........

Just got the results back for Xena... she is DM Carrier.. was hopeing for a clear.. she will only be bred to a clear, so I am happy that she will not develope DM or produce a puppy that has the possibility of developing DM(since she will be bred to a clear ONLY)... she will only produce a clear or carrier.

I know how devistating DM can be.. I have dealth with it in the past. At that time I did not know what it was..

I'm sooo sorry for everyone that had to watch their perfectly healthy dog 1 day and the next go down hill b/c of this horrible disease!!! It's devastating to watch your most beloved family member go through that. We are not done testing our breeding dogs but so far the one's that are tested are Clear of DM through OFA. I'm glad to see a lot of breeders stepping up and doing the test.
Thanks
Kel

Fortunately, both of my males are N/N for DM and are producing same.
