"I'm really concerned with all the unsubstantiated rumors and allegations floating around. We're giving the publeic the idea that Schutzhud people go around stealing and killing each others dogs :-(

This needs to end. We need to know when the necropsy report is released and when the toxicoloy tests will
be done. In two weeks, at the end of the month, ? something. No more open ended "we're waiting for x"
Private Investigators will "investigate" for as long as they're being paid. I'd much rather see the money either
returned or used for a memorial or Scholarship or some worthwhile cause, then to line the pockets of a PI"

Where has schutzhund people been accused? When I hear dog theft, I think bait dogs, I think people filling an order for a lab I don't think schutzhud people.

Thomas, you seem to have a  strong  sense of entitlement on what you think should or should not be done.  I really don't see where it is any concern of yours or mine   on when what will be released.

But if you feel that strongly about it perhaps you would like to sponser a tracking trophy in Hex's memory?

Betty

This is a public discussion list where members are allowed to express opinions.

Al pointed the finger at members of MSSV (his old Schutzhund club). Read the police report
He stated "someone had it in for me and stole and killed my dog" in a TV interview. That doesn't sound like
any bait dog nappers or dogs for lab experiments.

When you go to the media and claim your dog was stolen and when he is found dead across the street
claim he was murdered and solicit donations from the PUBLIC. You make it everyones concern.

As far as a tracking trophy? There is plenty of money for that, from the public donations IF
they don't spend it all on tests and investigations. It's also REAL interesting that everyone assumes that anyone
asking questions didn't donate money or buy a Hex bracelet :-(

I just looked at the Hex website again to make sure that it was NOT asking for donations and it reads: IN the event that YOU WOULD LIKE TO make a donation.........

How is that asking for money? If they were asking would it not read something like: Please send money too.. or We need money make your checks ... or Send money now too... I didn't see that there.

Yes it is a public list Thomas and I do agree we are all entitled to opinions, both on the original incident and even on the motivation of posters.

But how is "someone" pointing a finger at the members of his old club? If you are  refering  back to the police report, I'm pretty sure I already wrote that any incident I have ever been involved in the first question the police asked was about recent lawsuits, romantic breakups, anyone that may be holding a grudge for any reason.

If they spend the donations/braclet money on investiagations what does it matter?  That is what the money was raised for.  If you did donate money and don't like the way it is being used contact them directly.  Seems like that would be a little more upfront.

But I think you and I are just going to contine to type in circles, I think the family should be given time to get reports in  and while a few people might of being a little emotional on the net I don't think that reflects back on the family or their motivation.  You feel that fundraising was done under false circumstances, that the club has been accused, and I believe you put out the possibility that the entire incident was being used to deflect attention away from the lawsuit.

<shrug>

But at least we know we could probably talk religion and/or politics without getting into a fist fight!

But unless something new is released I'm done with this thread.

Rest in Peace Hex and Run free.   I hope with all my heart that the ones that loved you find the answers that they need.

Victoria, I really don't care. I'm just sitting back and trying to understand why some believe that others can't have an opinion. I probably shouldn't have stuck my nose into this garbage. But if you believe that isn't asking for money, I should just spit in the bum's cup, the next time I go downtown. Because he's not asking for money, right? He's just holding a cup out. Like I said, I don't care. If someone wants to give their money, fine.. it's theirs to give. To me, this is nothing more than a dog that sadly got hit by a car. If I was going to donate $, it would be for a fence. If no reward is given out, why don't they buy one?

"Thomas, I have no knowledge of you other than hearing your name a time or two around dog circles,  but FYI, you're coming across to be quite spiteful and taking what seems to be a really bizarre level of interest in a few dollars spent on some rubber bracelets to help find out (yes, find out!) what happened to a beloved dog. The money was given freely, not extorted. Not your money, not your business (and I mean "you" in general.)"

I agree, and the more Thomas keeps coming back and saying the same thing over and over again, the more I'm beginning to think that Workingdog is correct about some jealousy going on here, either because of Al's popularity with many people and how they are willing to help in anyway possible, or because of how well Hex has done.  Definitely sour grapes.

I have not donated money,  nor do I know the Govedniks, and I certainly feel no animosity  towards them, nor how they've handled this.  Why anyone would is beyond me unless they have a dog in this fight, or they are jealous.  Simple as that.

Cripes, the ones that have donated money have no issues with how things are being handled!

This is the most honest thing you have written.    Your personal actions will go a long way to "ending" it.  Let's  see whether you in fact cease discussing it endlessly.  Neither you, nor anyone else, aside from the Govedniks, has any "need to know" when any reports or test will be done.

As for what you'd "much rather see" with respect to the money--WHAT business is it of yours?   You have never indicated that you contributed a dime, so your "preference" as to what is done with money  contributed by numerous others is not only immaterial and irrelevant, it is bathos.

Hexe, you are undoubtedly correct in your assessment regarding "the rest of the story."

Thomas, I have some money coming in soon. It's somewhat substantial. How would you like me to spend it?

by beetree on 02 December 2011 - 21:12

Jenni, I think you should give it to Thomas.

by hexe on 02 December 2011 - 21:12

Jenni, I think this is the first post in this thread that could generate an honest laugh of amusement from everyone participating who has a sense of humor.  Thanks for that!!
