The white on the dobies was more common back in the 80's. Not that it was common but it did happen and I'm not talking about on a scar site

That is why the breed standard on the doberman mentions that white on the chest up to 1/2 inch square is permissible

Yes sometimes adult shepherds get white hairs indicating healed
scars too.
