All my puppies are microchipped prior to leaving my home and the chip is registered with the AKC - does not matter where they go <shrug>

Red Sable: I know plenty of breeders who microchip or tattoo their dogs before they leave to any home. It's called responsible breeding in my opinion.

How is implating a microchip such a pain in the ass? Takes 6 seconds and about 13 bucks.

Now, of course we control freak breeders do all that stuff before they ever leave the property, but you wouldn't want to deal with people like us, now, would you? ;-)

Another thread down the proverbial shitter.

Duh, I no longer have the dog, actually it is in Texas.  So yes, having to register it CKC before it can be registered in the new owners name is a freakin' pain in the ass.
Time consuming for me, and the new owner, a lot of paper work and it is going to cost a lot more than 13 bucks.

Actually, 'responsible breeders' don't breed dogs
with admitted/known hip AND elbow problems either.

You really enjoy making a nuissance of yourself with your slander, don't you?  You realize she's commenting about whether to neuter or return the dog, and not about breeding with it, right?

Wow, a post from six years ago.

He's not the only one that likes to be a nuisance.
We all know that even though she also said on Leerburg she'd never breed the dog, she did.   So where is the slander exactly?!

Well, then he(she) should tell the WHOLE story, if it's some sort of attempt to educate the unaware.
