dogshome,
I wanted to express my condolences to you on Jola's passing. I know how that feels because our Quora bloated right in front of my husband's eyes 5 years ago and he did not realize it because she was very pregnant and due to deliver her puppies about a week later. He had taken her for a walk and left her in our sunroom to call me at work. On the phone he told me that she is just "moping around" and that he will take her to the vet if she does not feel better later on. 20 minutes later, she was laying on our tile floor, dead in a puddle of water. Very very sad! She was 7 years old and it was supposed to have been her last litter! We never forgot that and it still follows us in our nightmares! I am sure Hexe remembers that drama, right?
You did the right thing and let her go! RIP, Jola.
Hugs, Chris

Chris, I do sadly recall the tragic circumstances of Quora's sudden passing...she comes to mind every time the subject of bloat comes up anywhere, in no small part because the episode robbed you of her and her babies who were so close to arriving into this world.   Such an emotional blow to you and your family...
