It would be interesting to know why the dog was sold in the first place. I would be curious about the dog's pedigree. Anyone know the rest of the name.....

The bites are a trained behavior. I think the dog was sold because of showing aggression to Jodys husband.
Gabe vom Geistwasser is his ped. name

Oh PLEASE! Was not going to get into this but this dog was bought from a woman who V'd his SchH1 and 2 and loved the dog and only very reluctantly, after a year deliberation, let him go. No one went to the bank laughing and i would bet she is heart broken about the deal now. I do believe she thought the dog was going somewhere else and not green when she sold him. Nicely bred and nicely trained dog until he was with someone who was not up to him. Barb

Dog brokers have a responsibility to the dog and the breed to make sure buyers are up to the task and properly homed for the temperment and drive and previous training.

The first time this dog was sold it was for police work, he did not pass the testing and then was sold to this other guy. Like I said before there were issues with this dog before he was sold for police work and that is why he was sold.

Bob you are right but if the seller is not completely honest about the training the dog has its all out the window.

Jettasmom,
I AM talking about the helpers. The helpers have a responsibility NOT to help train a dog with a questionable temperament or character to bite, bite hard and fight. Simple. I have seen helpers virtually training dogs that were fear-biters to bite to relief the stress. What kind of time-bomb does that create? WHY train a fear-biter to do such a thing? So, it can be titled and bred?
The helpers owe it to themselves and their families to pass on working such dogs.

Barb,
You are clearly right. This dog apparently started out as a well-loved puppy. I base that on the extraordinary number of photos on this site of him at various stages of puppyhood. I imagine the person who raised him from a little puppy is heart-sick over what has happened to and with that puppy she loved.
From the entry info on the WDC site:

@Mystere They taught the dog to bite hands, it was taught to the dog! Heart broke now?? Jody taught this dog to be a liability! As far as the pics. posted... its great advertising for free. They are training more dogs to be just like him now. Open your eyes people!
