Parvo at the vet and airports. - Page 3

     I am wondering if those of you that use Neopar, use  any other vaccine also, such as for distemper,corona ,etc.,?
     I am definately getting the neopar. i just looked it up. I keep a 25 pack of vaccines in my frig at all times. I am a big advocate to vaccinate your pups. I will vaccinate any pup I know of, mine or others, in an effort to prevent dog disease. It's as easy as the meter reader coming into your yard to infect pups. and, one series of vaccine does not provide full protection.
     Just wondering how you handle the other vaccines.?

The company, Neotech, has separate vaccines for distemper etc that you can use separately.  I believe in immunizing against different diseases separately to not confuse the immune system.  Just my own personal opinion and so far it has worked for me.  None of my dogs have allergies or immune system issues.  Now that could just be coincidence but I don't think so.  I buy my vaccines directly from Neotech.

I disagree with the vaccinations.

I'm in North Europe and in my country we vaccinate puppies 3 times.
At 8 weeks and then 4 weeks after and then another 4 weeks. Some vet hospitals only vaccinate 2 times and they have had reports of parvo.
After my clinic started vaccinating 3 times as told by the vaccine distruber we have not had a parvo puppy.

Thank god. Haven't seen it myself but I've heard it's just awful.

I vaccinate my dog every two years and de-worm him once a year. He was rabies vaccinated when we left the country otherwise it's not done as my country is rabies free.

Sorry to hear all the parvo concerns.   I not only see parvo at the vet hospitals but we have parvo come near our farm with coyote and it is pretty bad.   soooo   vaccinate pups from 6 weeks about every 25 days up to 16 weeks of age then done.
